Alva Drumm Obituary
Alva B. Drumm, 65, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord April 29, 2014.
A life resident of the area, Alva worked as an auto mechanic for Ganley Ford, and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ruth (Griswald) Drumm, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law; Patrick and Lisa; grandchildren, Patrick and Nevaeh; brother, Paul Hayes; niece, Melissa Phillips; and great-nephew, Kyle Phillips.
Friends may call from 6 to to 9 p.m. Monday at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 12 p.m. at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The Schlup Pucak Funeral Home is honored to serve the Drumm family. Private messages and memories of Alva can be shared at schluppucakfh.com.

Patrick,
I am truly sorry for your loss. No words can express what you are feeling right now.
It's so strange to think that your dad and my dad were friends and ran the streets together for awhile when they were in their prime, and my dad passed away 10 years ago on April 29th. They are reliving and catching up on old times up there, looking down on us and making sure that we are all ok.
The best advice that I can give you, is stay strong for your family , but take that time for yourself for your grieving... you will need to have that time. Take care of yourself and your family, you are in my prayers.
