Peggy, brother John and family members:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all through this most difficult time. We love you and hope you remember us. Hold on to the precious memories God has given you through the years.

For a short time I had the privilege to spend every other Sunday Morning with Chuck, while his precious Wife Peggy went to church. During these times he would tell me many story of him being in the Army, his childhood with his dad and how his dad lost his leg, and about his very stick mother. I got to hear many stories about his work, walking there and he knew he had a good job and was proud of doing it well. He told me of things he and Peggy and sons, went through. And his love for our Lord.

I would say Chuck was a true man of honor, a true American and proud of his country. Chuck was a proud American Veteran that served his county with honor.
He loved the American flag as it represents freedom and all that we are as Americans and that people breathe a sigh of relief when they see it appear in times of despair because they know the good guys have arrived and help is eminent. He loved American and wouldn't stay still or quite if anyone try to say anything against it. He was one that would tell you if you don't like it, Leave. And he meant it. I know this, I witness this first hand, him doing this, he made be proud to know him and a little prouder to be an American.

Peggy with no doubt was the love of his life, he told me, he could have never ever found a better wife and mother for his two boys.
He had told many wonderful story about how he and Peggy met, their marriage and raising their sons. As he talked, you could hear the love he had for each of them.

As he talked about his sons, it was with his head held high as a proud father would. And he still had room for extra love for his grandchildren.
His love for Jesus was also amazing, Strong and firm he was blessed to be a Christian and loved his church and church family.

I can say I was bless to have known Charles Loughry.
I would have been proud to have Chuck for a Father.
Thanks Chuck for all the long talks.

I'll see you in heaven when the time comes.
Your Friend in Christ Jesus
Sandra Shaffer
