Constance Schaffer Obituary
Connie Schaffer, a 55 year resident of Green, was called home to the Lord on April 13, 2015 after a three year battle with multiple health disorders and a four week stay at the Hospice Care Center at the tender young age of 82.
She was born February 25, 1933 in Washington, Ind. to the late Lloyd and Lorraine Burris. For over 20 years Connie was a "Winter Texan" living her winters in McCallen, Texas.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Anthony "Bob" Schaffer. She is survived by her six children, Deborah (Al) Scheller and Christine Louk of New Jersey, Bob (Dawn) Schaffer, Diane Bahry, Burl (Sheila) Schaffer and Suzy Schaffer; 16 loving grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April, 16, 2015 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd., Green, Ohio 44232. Inurnment will take place on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, Ohio 44270. Memorial contributions may be made in Connie's name to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, c/o Akron General Foundation, 400 Wabash Ave., Akron, Ohio 44307-2463.
