Mr. Shue walked into my fitness shop back in about 1995 or so and picked out over five thousand dollars worth of fitness equipment. First time I ever laid eyes on him. He told me he would pay me later. I read him correctly .... he DID pay me as promised... Really good down to earth and honest man... I never forgot him.

Prayers go out to the Shue family, from the Sims family. Dave was my brother Tim's football coach. Even though he has passed on, he lived a full life and now he will be reunited with Tim and other players he coached and mentored. He will be missed. RIP DJS!

I am sorry to have been out of town during this sad time in life.... Dave Shue was a bright candle to many young men and women in Barberton Ohio. My first year at Washington Elementary, 4th grade, Mr. Shue was the football coach and what a coach he was.. driving all the players around on his towing company flat bed, making sure that we were the loudest and proudest players... he was a great motivator and influenced all... Throughout Life.. Mr. Shue was that man that never forgot a Kid... he knew all of us by name always.. Great words of influence continued to many throughout his life.. Later in my life, I had the Joy of selling Dave a parcel of land in S. E. Ohio .. where he built a beautiful log cabin... Thanks for many memories Dave...

To my family: There are so many good memories to cherish and the greatest blessing of all is our Mothers wish for him to make it to heaven to be by her side for ever more. This was her last dying wish she wrote to him and he accepted that wish and is in Heaven with Jesus, Mom and many loved ones. Thank you God we can be with them again. I LOVE YOU DAD From your daughter, Shelby

To Mr. Shue's family and friends.
I remember going to the Varsity teen center when I was a teenager. Those were good times. How I with the teenagers today had a place like that to go and just have nice clean fun, dance and hang out with your friends. I remember him after I became and adult and had children of my own and I would go to the varsity to sign him up for football. He was always the same very nice and always remembered my name. My your memories bring you comfort. Barberton has really lost a supporter of good cause.
