Bernice S. Ahern
Bernice S. Ahern, 82, passed away Aug. 2, 2002.
Born in Akron on April 4, 1920, Mrs. Ahern had graduated from St. Vincent High School, class of 1938. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and was past president of Local 1071 of Pflue ger United Steelworkers of America. In 1985, she retired from Ohio Bell Tele phone.
Survivors include son, Michael (Mona) of Canal Fulton, Larry (J.R.) of Winston Salem, N.C.; sisters, Ruth Vandiver and Doris Reischman of Clinton, Edna Mae Peters of Akron; grandchildren, James, Mi chael, John, and Joe Ahern; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednes day at 7:30 p.m. at Dunn-Quigley Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home (811 Grant St.), where friends may call from 5:30 p.m. until service time. (Dunn-Quigley Ciriello & Carr, Ak ron, 330-253-8121.)
