George Mizarek Obituary
George C. Mizarek, Jr., 78, of Canal Fulton died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Port Charlotte, Florida.
George was born in Cleveland to the late George C. and Lena Mizarek and had been a long time resident of the Canal Fulton/Jackson area. He was founder, owner and operator of Canal Fulton Provision, member of the Canal Fulton Rotary, Tri County Restaurant Association and member of the Canal Fulton and Massillon Chambers of Commerce.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Mizarek; daughter, Sherri Hornsby; and sister, Betty Rizzardi. He is survived by his children, Jeff (Wendy) Mizarek, Mike (Kathleen) Mizarek, Debbie (Rodney) Beardsley; grandchildren, Corey, Erin, Alexander, Matthew and Madison; step-grandchildren, Bruce and Brittany; and great grandchildren; sister, Rose (Stan) Lavigne; special friend, Polly Garnes; nieces and nephews.
George was a loving father, husband, grandpa, great-grandpa, friend and will be greatly missed by all.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held TUESDAY, 10 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 High Street N. Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey celebrant. Friends may call MONDAY, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry Street E. (Rt. 93 Canal Fulton). Burial Canal Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38051.

We were so saddened to hear of George's passing. He was certainly a man of great passion and had a wonderful work ethic. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Our community and our Rotary Club will be without one of our leading members. You as a family have lost your patriarch, but still have many fond memories with which to remember him.
