I was very sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I knew 'Big Al' from our days together at Kent State, and for a number of years thereafter. As shown in the accompanying photo, Alan attended my wedding in 1980, in Uniontown, PA. He was a good friend, and I deeply regret losing touch with him.
Dear Peggy and family, So sorry to hear of Alan's passing. No words can ease your pain now. Please know that all of you are in our prayers. Sending you our love and prayers.
The "Pancake Man" That is one of my most favorite images of your husband, father, grandpa. He would be standing over the hot stove, rosy-cheeked, flipping pancakes that were perfectly browned and superbly cooked! Sometimes I wondered if he didn't "invent" some of these benefits he cooked for...very reflective of the unassuming generosity of a life of giving. Peggy, Andrea, Dan, Tessa and the rest of the family, I carry you in my heart. I carry you in my prayers.
With you,with love,
I was so very to hear of your loss. My deepest sympathy to you & your family. You have been in my thoughts & prayers...
