It was an honor to know Charlie. He did so much for people in his active community life. I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Hi Chip, how are you? I never met your dad, but if he was anything like you, he must have been one of the good guys. Although he apparently lived a good long life, it's still hurts to let him go. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.
Charlie was in the very truest sense a gentleman and a strong force in making Akron the community that it is. He was also a friend. Now he knows the full power of his wonderful faith.
You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers.
May God bless you,
He had this big smile that made a stranger feel like a friend.
Rest In Peace friend.
Charlie was loved by many and will be missed by all. May the prayers and thoughtfulness of friends and family bring you comfort during this difficult time. God Bless you.
During my years in Akron, I had the privilege of working with Charlie on many community programs. He gave of his time and skills so generously. After moving to Chicago 26 years ago, I stayed connected with Charlie during my frequent visits to the CitiCenter Athletic Club. He inspired folks there, too, with his daily swimming routine. He will be missed.
Offering our deepest condolences during this time.
To Mary and the entire Booth family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
