My Uncle Freddie will be in my memories forever. He taught Karen and I how to make a bed that, he could bounce a quarter on.
He taught us the make model and year of autos from the model T to the autos of the late 1950's. He even taught us how to properly clean and maintain a car. He even taught us how to detect mechanical issues of autos.
When Karen and I turned 13 yrs.old Uncle Freddie and aunt Janet bought us pale pink lipstick to wear. Grandma Shannon had a fit and said we could not have or were lipstick. Uncle Freddie and aunt Janet "went to bat" for us. We got to keep and wear our lipstick! Uncle Freddie and aunt Janet were from then on OUR HERO'S! Uncle Freddie gave us a way at our Weddings as well. God Bless you Uncel Freddie Amien!!!

I remember Mr. Shannon from my childhood. We lived the next street down from them and would go by his house to go to church on Sunday. Whenever he was outside, he would always wave.
