Remembering Mr. McNeill fondly as my freshman English teacher, and also director of an independent study I did in high school. Loved his dry sense of humor, and am grateful for the challenging questions he asked.
John, thank you so much for introducing me to the family history. I will never forget your generous sharing of information on our family.

Had Mr. McNeil for 10th grade Social Studies at Strongsville High, best teacher I had, lots of fun in class with him, he will be truly missed.
I cannot count how many times throughout my life memories of Mr. McNeill returned. During my junior and senior years at Strongsville High School Mr. McNeill and I spent countless hours sitting across from each other playing chess. He not only taught me the game but so many life lessons. Thank you Mr. McNeill. God Bless!

Mr. McNeill taught Social Studies at Strongsville High School when my class (1967) was launching ourselves into the world. He was a great teacher and part of a very distinguished faculty who really cared about their students. Forty-six years later, we still appreciate the profound influence they had on our lives.
Mr. McNeill was my 9th grade English teacher. He was an excellent instructor!!! I became a grammar nerd because of him.
John was a teaching colleague and in many ways a mentor to me. His wit was matched by his broad knowledge of history and literature. He made a difference.
Offering our deepest sympathy during this difficult time.
