There will never be another Zobby Miktarian. I had the pleasure of going to the Joes All Star bar when I worked at City Hospital. Then I was given the privilege of meeting his daughter Patty. Through Patty, Zavin and Cheryl I got to know Zobby even better. He was a wonderful man, father and husband. May he rest in peace with his beautiful wife Peggy.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
We appreciate you trusting us with the care of your loved one at this difficult time.
sorry for your loss I met your dad through my place of work bj's wholesale club and he became a very good friend he was always a polite and nice gentleman laura infante
Sorry for your loss. Hang in there Zavin.
I became acquainted with Zobby in the early 60's when my Mom was having radium treatments at City Hospital. They came in there a lot to eat and have a beer. Then I started coming in. They had the BEST ham sandwiches and fried shrimp. I moved to OK and when I came in on vacations, it was on my list to see Zobby, go to Strickland's for custard, and to Krispy Kreme for cream sticks. Zobby was always super nice and as soon as my Mom and I walked in he would set up a Rolling Rock and a screwdriver. The All Star was a very nice place and women could expect to be treated with respect. Unfortunately the last time I was in Akron was for my Mom's funeral and The All Star was gone so I did not get to see Zobby. He was such a nice man and someone you would wish for as a neighbor or family friend or even a relative. My sister saw him recently at the mall and he remembered us all. I still have a souvenir from the UGLY bartender contest, along with a folder with articles of his accomplishments and pictures. I saw of his passing in the ABJ and with a heavy heart I say goodbye to probably the nicest man I have ever known and condolences to the family and friends left behind. As others have mentioned, I will miss him putting his hands on his hips, and with puppy dog eyes saying “awww”
I will miss you so very much, as I miss Grandma. I have these wonderful memories from my childhood into adulthood and I have you and Grandma to thank for them. You created such a close and loving family and I am very appreciative of that. I will never forget how proud you were of me; "She's my nurse!" and how you loved to see my dog, Harley. I will cherish every hug and kiss I received and gave to you. You will be greatly missed but you left behind a wonderful legacy and are now with Grandma, your love.
Our dear Zobby and Peggy are together again. Not only was he the best neighbor but he was like a 2nd father to myself and Gary. We had a lot of good time with him, our hearts truly ache, but knowing that he is with his sweetie Peggy again gives us some peace. To all his kids and grandkids please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers always, we love all of you very much. Love Brenda & Gary and also we sure will miss hearing him say Yippy

Zobby wonderful, kind and caring. I know god will welcome you home to be with peg again.
I loved Zobby... as did most of the Akron Police Department. In the 70s, for years, the Midnight shift used to meet at Joe's All Stars after work. To Zobby, we were all his friends and none of us were ever strangers to him. Rest in peace, my friend.
Dearest Kari, Jon, Lillianne and family: I posted before but for some reason did not put my name and city on - just Marge & Keri. I imagine you know who it is from. Prayers will be with you all through the coming days for peace and strength. You are loved. Marge & Keri
Patty, I had heard that your father passed, but I couldn't remember his name...then, when I saw the name "Zobby," I knew, because you always spoke with such love and affection for your dad. My prayers are with you and the family!! Charlotte Howard (Robinson)

My parents, now both gone, went to school with Zobby and his brothers. They thought highly and spoke fondly of him. My condolences to the Miktarian family.

Dear Miktarian Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Zobby's passing. We loved hearing him tell us Navy stories. We also loved when he told us Peggy stories. They were so adorable together when we would run into them out to dinner, etc. May all your wonderful memories bring you joy and peace in times to come. Love and prayers to all of you.

Uncle Zobby you were always my favorite. Your smile and the you would tell me when I lost Loretta and Mel ; awe honey it will be alright. I loved you dearly and will miss seeing you at the firehouse! Rest in peace and take care of my family in heaven with you now.
Zobby was a Truely amazing and loving man. I was priveleged to get to know him over the years. May god bless him and may he have eternal happiness
I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO KNOW ZOBBY AND PEG, I HAVE GREAT MEMORIES OF EATING DINNER WITH THE FAMILY AND GOING TO JOES ALL STARS. I KNOW HE WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE THAT KNEW HIM
Zobby you were the best neighbor and you will be dearly missed. There is peace knowing that you are home with Peggy now. My deepest sympathies to the Miktarian family and all your friends.
Zobby and Peggy, the love of his life, were the best friends and neighbors. They both had smiles that lasted for miles! My sympathies for the Miktarian family. You are blessed with many wonderful memories of a beautiful family.
Zobby found me running lanes at Fair Lanes (kna Akron Bowl) during a Scotch Doubles he was having for the U.G.L.Y. Bartender Contest for MS.... he knew then that I would be his bartender and he never gave up until he had me behind his bar.... a decision that changed my life. I can not say enough kind words about him. His smile could and would light up any room no matter how dark and grey it actually was. It broke my heart to learn of his passing but I can hear him say "awww honey". He knew how to turn a negative into a positive. Zobby you wil be forever in my heart and always in my prayers and don't forget to give Peggy, Paul and Josh a great big hug from me. You all will be forever missed.
Papa I love you with all my heart. You were the sweetest, kindest, most giving man. You were full of love (and plenty of good laughs!). I am beyond blessed to have had you in my life for 30 years. Grandma and you were a prime example of what TRUE LOVE is and what is looks like. I love you dearly, and while my heart aches that you are no longer here with us, knowing you are in heaven now with the love of your life Peggy and our Lord makes my heart smile. All my love, your oldest grandbaby--
Zobby was the nicest, kindest man you could ever know.He always had a smile and a little joke or just anything to make people feel welcome at Joes All Star. We had many good times there and there was never a fight or anything negative. I believe that was due to Zobby's presence. He made everyone feel good. God bless you Zobby and Ihope you are with God and your wonderful son, Josh. Sally McDaniel Puckett
Oh, the memories! Zobby had a smile that could light an entire room. My Mother worked for the Miktarian family many years ago and my fondest memories are of sitting in Joe's Allstar watching the regulars do what they did best. I can still see Zobby, hands on his hips, surveying the crowd and shaking his head with that big smile on his face. He was a wonderful, kind man and it was truly an honor to know him. My hearfelt condolences to Peggy and the family.
My deepest sympathies to the Miktarian family I was so sad to hear of Zobby's passing. Zobby along with his brothers were icons in the Akron area from Joe's Allstar Cafe'. The kindest man I have ever known. Rest in peace Zobby.
RIP Zobby, you will be missed by many here, but you are home now with your beloved Peggy and wonderful nephew Josh. God Bless your family for their loss, I know how SPECIAL you are to SO many people.
