Dan Bailey Obituary
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Anna Louise and brother, Richard. He is survived by his children, Beth, Barbara and Danny.
He was a lifelong resident of Clinton and retired from Firestone in 1986 after 43 years. He enjoyed singing barbershop, in church, and for community functions. He had been actively involved in Clinton Kiwanis and Clinton Historical Society.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 2nd at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron. Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333 or the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH 44087.

Can’t really say enough!. Wonderful man!, lots of great memories while growing up, picking up his bus in Detroit, working on it later along with his other vehicles. Always enjoyed going to visit and riding mini bike with his youngest daughter barb!

As a fellow Firestone retiree I remember working with Dan and can still remember his booming voice and his sense of humor as he liked to tease the new engineering trainees. I was one and he always made me feel welcome, even as a "new guy" in the company.

I am so sorry. Both of your parents were wonderful people. I remember when we got a chastising from your Dad for driving your little mustang around with no gas in it. He loved you guys very much.

So saddened by the loss of you Dad and my cousin. I have great memories of your family visits to Ossian when I was a child. Always loved to hear your Dad singing "Danny Boy" as he did at Mom's funeral almost 17 yrs ago. He was a very special person.

Beth and family: Growing up in Clinton and attending Clinton School I know that both your Dad and Mom as fine Christian examples that had a lot of influence on me. I can remember how your Mom taught us to sing the Lords Prayer in school. (just try that today). Your Dad and his brother Dick were always active in sports and the Community. Just remember your Christian Faith, Those that die in the Lord shall have Eternal Life. May God comfort you at this time.
