Janet Harbaugh Obituary
Janet R. Harbaugh, 78, of Canal Fulton, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon.
Born in Akron to the late Edward and Kathleen Koch, Janet was a life resident of the Canal Fulton area and graduated from Coventry High School. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she was a member of the choir and was active in the Women's Guild.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Harbaugh, Mayor of Canal Fulton; children, Sandy (John) Bach, Edward (Jennifer) Harbaugh, Donald (Angela) Harbaugh, and Paul (Rebecca) Harbaugh; ten grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan and Evan Bach, Krista and Katie Harbaugh, David and Alec Harbaugh, Taylor Heard, Sidney and Audie Harbaugh.
Funeral service will be held FRIDAY, January 24, 2014, 11 a.m., at Trinity United Church of Christ, 8101 Manchester Ave., Canal Fulton, Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Calling hours THURSDAY, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton), and one hour prior to the service at the church. Janet was our aunt growing up. All the Christmas Holidays and Canadian summer vacations created a ton of great memories. My heart aches for all of you, my cousins. Our families were so entwined by two best friends. Shanghai!
