June Miller Obituary

June E. Miller, 71, went to be with our Lord on January 3, 2013.

After graduating from North west High School, she immediately began raising a family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. For a brief time, she worked for the Manchester School system. June was very artistic. She painted beautifully, loved to sew and did many crafts. June loved to vacation at the Outer Banks and passed her fondness of the ocean on to her children. She was a fantastic cook and would always bake desserts for funerals that took place at the church she loved the most, St. George.

She is survived her husband, Walter Miller; children, Bill (Terese) Miller, Laurie Jarvis, Marie (Dave) Campbell; grandchildren, Jacob, Garret and Leah; sisters, Mary Jane (Jim) Longfellow, Joanne Wesley and brother, Dale Volk; and preceded in death by brother, Howard. We all are witnesses to her beautiful life. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Family and friends may join the family in celebration of her life at the calling hours on MONDAY, January 7th at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a Scriptural Service conducted by Fr. James Maloney. Private burial at Clinton Cemetery.

To the Miller Family --
No words can express our sorrow in the loss of June. She will always be in our hearts, and I know Mom will miss her dearly.

Thank you, June, for allowing me to grow up in a home of fun, laughter, and good times. I will remember the skating in the basement, the wonderful canned goods, all the crafts that you did. You were an amazing woman!

May Your Memory Be Eternal.

Dear Mom...I wish there was a way to send an e-mail to heaven because I know you are there. I am so thankful that I had you as a mother. You held me when I was sick and sad; and hugged me when I was happy and made you proud. You were the best mom who allowed us to camp out in the backyard, have water balloon fights, roller skate in the basement, swim in the pool when it was raining and countless other fun things. You went to every football game, band show and school event. I loved when we watched sappy movies together (you always cried) and the soap operas after school. You cried at each of our weddings and at the birth of your grandchildren. You made the grandchildren's baptismal gowns and their halloween costumes. And, when you got sick...I wept with you and stayed by your side. There were so many hospital stays and bouts in the nursing home (you hated them). You were so courageous and suffered deeply for so long. I'm so glad we could bring you home before you left us. I was there when you went to see our Lord...I held your hand as you passed. I will miss you each day of my life, but am comforted to know that I will see you again. I love you now and forever...

Dear Aunt June,
I will never forget coming over all the time when I was little and going to the hall closet and getting out the white box of crayons and paper that you always had for us to play with. I also remember all of the Easter parties, picnics, and playing volleyball in the backyard. You were a great aunt and I will always cherish the memories. Thinking of Uncle Bill, Laurie, Marie and Billy and their families. Love to All. It was so great to see everyone even though it was such a sad day.
