Robert Walsh Obituary

CLINTON -- Robert J. Walsh, 90, passed away July 16, 2013 at his home.

Born in Clinton, where he was a life resident, Robert retired from East Ohio Gas in 1984. He was a member of the Clinton Church of the Nazarene and was a lifetime member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II. Robert was a proud Navy veteran having served during World War II for the submarine service in the South Pacific.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen (Wentsch) Walsh; son, Lynn Robert Walsh; siblings, Evelyn Weber, Mary Boyd and Royce, Vergil and Vern Walsh; Robert is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Lois; daughter, Linda (Ron) Scarbrough of Marshallville; sons, Bruce (Sandi) Walsh of Avon, Roger (Carol) Walsh of Marshallville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday, July 19, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93), Canal Fulton, Pastor Mark Janeen officiating. Interment at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Calling hours TODAY, 5 to 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to service time on Friday. Memorials can be made to HMC Barberton Hospice and Palliative Care, 527 W.
