Sherrie Hornsby Obituary
She was born January 6, 1964 in Cleveland, was a graduate of Northwest High School and a long time employee of BCD Travel. She was a dedicated Mother and Best Friend.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Ann Mizarek. She is survived by her daughter, Madison Hornsby; father, George C. Mizarek; sister, Debra Ann (Rod) Beardsley; brothers, Jeffrey G. (Wendy) Mizarek and Michael A. (Kathleen) Mizarek and nieces and nephews.
Mass of the Christian Burial WEDNESDAY, 10 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 N. High Street, Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Burial at Canal Fulton Cemtery, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

I have just now heard of Sherrie's sudden passing and am shocked and saddened by the news. Sherrie provided excellent professional service as a travel agent serving my company, Morgan Tire & Auto, while she was with American Express as well as BCD Travel. Every contact we had invariably included personal sharing, with loving mention of Maddie and the experiences they were having as a family. Sherrie, you will be missed!

There were no words to express how sad I was to hear about Sherrie's sudden departure, but from the looks of her guest book she will never be forgotten. My heart felt sympathy to the Hornsby/Mizerek family and especially Madison.
I had the privledge of working with your mom at Bridgestone (AE travel, then BCD). She was so excited when she found out she was expecting you. You were that gleam in her eye. As you know she loved you and you were her everything. I was blessed to have known and worked with her - always positive and upbeat!

I looked at Madison tonight and all I could do is hold her. Just like I used to when she was a toddler. When you trusted me to keep her and care for her. You left behind such a wonderful young lady. Maddie I hope you will always know the love your mother had for you was like none I've ever seen. I never had a conversation with her where she didn't speak of you. I am so saddened to hear the news of Sherrie's passing. My heartfelt sympathy to her family. Maddie, you were your mom's life. I'm sure you knew that from the time you were born. Words just can't express the sorrow I feel for the loss of Sherrie. I only met her once face-to-face when she visited our Bridgestone offices in Nashville, but I have worked with her for 20+ years through AmEx Travel and then with BCD Travel.
