I was deeply saddened to hear of George's passing and I want to extend my sympathy to his family. In the past when I have lost a loved one I've been comforted by the passage "On Death" in the book "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran. Perhaps those words will ease your sorrow too.

George was a great guy and the world is worse off with his passing. Very very sad.

Mr. Gund, as a fan of the San Jose Sharks since 2/11/94 (my first game), i wanted to thank you for bringing one of the most successful sports franchises to the bay area. Your gifts enable us fans to enjoy going to a Sharks game. Thanks for the memories, and someday VERY soon, the Stanley Cup will know its way to San Jose! GGIII, forever a Shark.

George lives in the hearts of those fortunate to know him, and love him

My deepest sympathies to all whose lives he's touched in this time of grief

A great, kind, visionary and inspirational man. It is a privilege to work at the NHL franchise he started here in San Jose. And - it was an honor to know him.
