I also have many fond memories, he was married to my sister Norman :) and they took me into the family :) I will and do miss them very much:) Rhonda Jones (Pivar)

John was married to my Aunt Norma and I spent a lot of time with them both as a child and teenager.

He taught me to work hard and to appreciate the good things in life. He brought out a love for swing and big band music, especially artists such as Eddie Arnold and Glenn Miller.

Every Saturday night he would take me and Aunt Norma to dinner, usually the Brown Derby, and maybe even dancing. I remember going to the Sons of Herman club and learning to dance.

John had a great love for dogs. At one time they had 6 dogs that he "picked" up along the way of his mail route. Those dogs were well fed and taken care of. He even made sure the dogs behind their house on Valdez were fed and taken care of, often jumping the fence to feed and water them.

I have not been in touch with John for many years since I left Ohio, but was sad to hear of his passing.

My memories are too numerous to list here, but I do have some great ones.

Rest in Peace John, you are loved.

Robyn
