Podnar Sr.
Joseph "Old Boy" Podnar Sr., 88, of Clinton died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at his home.
He was born November 9, 1927 in Barberton to the late Tom and Mary Podnar. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, receiving a Bronze Star. Joe founded the Clinton Machine and Clinton Aluminum Companies and worked up to the last day of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Nellie (Gaetz) Podnar; and is survived by his children, Joe, Jr., Mark (Lynn), Mickey (Stephanie) and Terry (Lisa); grandchildren, Danielle, Angela, Aaron (Ashley), Eric and Alex; five great-grandchildren.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite Casino.

Just wanted to send my condolences to Mark and Mickey and the rest of the Podnar Family on the passing of your great dad that I had the pleasure to meet and know for a short time. I am deeply saddened by Joe's passing and will miss him dearly. hope you all know how lucky you were to have him for all these years and got to enjoy him for so long.

Joe and Nell were wonderful generous people. Providing my first full-time employment, they nurtured me through 11 wonderful years of professional development.
Their belief and support in me at such a young age are a testament to the successful career I have achieved today. And for that, I will be eternally grateful.
