Russell Lee Obituary
CANAL FULTON -- Russell "Rusty" Charles Lee, age 63, passed away July 2, 2014 after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. He was at home surrounded by his loving family.
Rusty was born on January 30, 1951 in Barberton, Ohio to Betty Lee-Spetich and Charles Lee. A long-time resident of Canal Fulton, he was a professional machinist for over 35 years, having just recently retired in March. He had a very strong work ethic and kind heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee; and stepfather, Frankie Spetich, Rusty is survived by his loving wife of nearly 38 years, Shelley (Reiter) Lee; mother, Betty Lee-Spetich of Barberton; daughters, Amanda (Tim) Barna, Molly (Shawn) Lazarus both of Canal Fulton, and son Jared (Tara) Lee of Barberton; sisters, Sally Simonds of Uniontown, Becki (David) Haller of Louisville, Ohio and Peggy (J.B.) Brosdahl of Anoka, Minn.; brother, Andy (Sharon) Lee of Zimmerman, Minn.; grandchildren, Avery, Aidan, Jaxon, Olivia, Abram, Ashlyn, Iris, Eden, and Emma; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Rusty was happiest when fishing, gardening, playing the lottery and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved the beach and always treasured his family vacations at Hilton Head. He had a witty sense of humor, hilarious facial expressions and groovy dance moves that kept everyone he met in stitches.
Family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Celebration of Life services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Russ's memory can may be made to Akron General Hospice. www.swigarteasterlingfuneralhome.com
