Ruzell Isom Obituary
Ruzell Isom "Rose", 93, of Canal Fulton, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014. Born in Hamilton, Alabama to the late Curtis and Lula (Homer) Cox she had been a Canal Fulton area resident for over 50 years. Rose was a founding member of the Anchor Baptist Church in Massillon and was actively involved for many years.
Preceded in death by husband, John; son, Jerold Isom; infant sons, Curtis Roy, Jay Foy; and sister, Vada Lee Abston. She is survived by her son, Charles (Marlene) Isom; daughters, Shirley Stoll, Dorothy (Dave) Larson; daughter-in-law, Donna Isom; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held MONDAY, December 15, 2014, 11 a.m. at the Anchor Baptist Church, 2700 Richville Dr. SE, Massillon, Ohio, Pastor Mark Jacobs officiating. Friends may call ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the church. Burial will take place 1:30 p.m. at Canal Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ruzell's name can be made to the Anchor Baptist Church, 2700 Richville Dr. SE, Massillon, OH 44646.

Dottie,
While passing some time, I looked at the incredibly warm and touching things you said in my yearbook. So, I thought I would see what the Internet could give me on you--after more than 50 years! I wish that I would have found you on a happier note though.
Mothers are so very special. And, I think I see in her those beautiful traits of warmth, caring, and personality that I remember in you at Northwest High School.
After college, I served in the Air Force and retired in 2003 as a general officer. Spent some time working at Marshall University and finally retired once and for all in 2005. Now I am on a farm caring for too many horses and have too much work.
I hope life has been good to you. God bless and keep you and your family.

Chuck & Marlene,Please accept our condolences on the death of Chuck's Mom. Even though she lived a long life it is still a very sad time and the end of an era(so to speak) when your Mom passes.Please convey to your sister Dorothy also. She was very sweet to me when she was in the park.
