I have a very heavy heart after attending the visitation for Ryan this evening. Ryan touched so many lives and meant so much to my family, "The Sams". My fondest memory of Ryan is leaving the keys to my car in my locker during school hours so him and my cousin, Kevin could take my car off campus. :) My heart breaks for his three beautiful girls which I had the honor to meet this evening. Rest in peace my friend. You will truly be missed.

Ryan was a genuinely caring person and he had such a great connection with his players; he really loved "his boys."
We saw this cloud on our way to Oaklawn tonight -- how appropriate for a guy who lived every part of his life with an exclamation point!!!

Rest in Peace Ryan. My heart aches for your girls, your family, friends and everyones life that you touched. god Bless. You will all be in my prayers. I knew Ryan from Englewood and have seen him around since (both of my boys play baseball) he will truly be missed.

My son and I stood at Great American Ball Park waiting for Ryan to stop by to get his autograph. He was so wonderful with the kids, we enjoyed watching him play for "our team". He was today's Pete Rose, played with such heart. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Freel family, may you find peace in the memories you hold in your heart. RIP Ryan, you will be missed.
