So sorry to find that Tom has died. He was one of my oldest and best friends from West High in Akron.

I met Tom very briefly around twenty years ago, when I was a young librarian. I said something not very complimentary to myself, and Tom smiled and said, "You seem like a can-do woman to me." I've never forgotten that encounter. It's funny how a small comment like that can have such an impact on a life. Thank you, Tom.

Tom was an inspiration to us who had the honor of working on cooperative projects for the Mideastern Ohio Library Organization, Ohio Public Library Information Network, and state of Ohio programs. I know where his stardust is tonight.

Joetta & Family:
I am beyond sad to hear about Tom. I had the pleasure of working with him at the Canal Fulton Library and my mother had the pleasure of working with him at the Barberton Library. He was the best boss ever! He did so much for the Library and the community. He was a creative legend in the library world, and I was proud to tell people that I worked with him. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.
