Feb 4, 1924 - Dec 16, 2012 FULTON, TX Billie E. Allen, age 88, of Fulton, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, December 16, 2012. She was born to Will and Willie Murphree on February 4, 1924, in Chandler, Texas. Her family later moved to Kilgore, Texas, where she attended Kilgore Junior College. Billie accepted Christ at an early age while attending church in Kilgore, Alice and Rockport, Texas, as well as Oklahoma City North MacArthur Church of Christ as a charter member for many years. Billie was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, William (Bill) Allen Jr.; her son, William Allen III; and her sister, Maxine Hudspeth. She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Jacob, of Edmond, OK; and Linda Burgess, of Fulton, TX; son-in-law, Charles Jacob; grandchildren, Charles Jacob, Jr. (Melanie), Angie Lawson (Greg), and Holly Davis (Sam); and great-grandchildren: Sammy, Ross and Lily Davis; Alex and Cooper Lawson; as well as many nieces and nephews. Billie worked as a draftsman with Lane Wells and Exxon-Mobile for over 30 years. She had a strong work ethic, working hard all her life. After retiring, Billie and Bill moved to Fulton, Texas. She dedicated her life to supporting and loving her family. Billie was a very loving mother and devoted wife, always putting others first. She always remembered the many birthdays and especially liked Christmas and being with family. It was also quite common to see Billie working in the yard, pulling weeds and tending and watering her lawn. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her over many years. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, December 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Hahn-Cook/ Street and Draper Chapel. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Burial Park.

We are so sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother.
Our family will miss Billie, she was a favorite part of our childhood. I have many memories of being in her home.
She was a beautiful lady. This is one of my favorite pictures of her with my family. Love you all. Jeanie
