To the Hamm Family~
Brett was a special man~he touched so many lives in a positive way. He will be missed by many! I met Brett about 20years ago, lost touch and recently got back in touch with him before this tragic accident. He was a great friend with the most wonderful smile. His light burned out way too soon! I pray God gives you peace and comfort and that you seek comfort in your memories until the day you are reunited with him again in heaven! God Bless,

Maralee and the boys,

Brett and I always enjoyed calling each other...hello Brett, this is Bret. It got old, but we each time we always laughed. We had the same corny sense of humor, so we made the most of it.

That's the way most of our conversations started and finished...he was engaging and and friendly. He was always interested in how I was doing and had a smile when I saw him.

He was a good man and a good friend and I will miss him.

Praying for you all and that the Lord will grant you His peace today, tomorrow, and always.

Bret

Maralee, I know you and Brett have been divorced, however, our hearts go out to the family, Brett’s family and his beautiful boys, Austin, Tyler & Gabe. Please seek comfort in your faith, and don’t let the situation allow bitterness to grow inside. We will miss Brett terribly and we will keep praying for peace. God Bless!

Maralee, Austin, Tyler and Gabe,
Your are all in my prayers. You were such great neighbors and friends when we all lived in seminole point. Hold on to the good memories and know that God will wrap His arms around you.
Maralee, remember the scripture God gave you a few years ago- Jeremiah 29:11-14. Hold onto that and rest assured He never fails...please know I'm here for you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Hamm family. I had the blessing of knowing and working with Brett for several years, and during that time he became more than just a colleague. He was my good friend. Brett will be miss dearly by so many. My hope is that with the passage of time the pain that the Hamm family is experiencing will be eased, and those fond memories will become stronger. My family and I will keep all of you in our prayers.

Maralee, Austin, Tyler and Gabe -

I heard the sad news on Sunday of last week and have prayed for you constantly since then.

Brett's been a friend through the years and though it had been too long since we were last in touch, he and I always seemed to be able to easily pick up from where we left off. I think that's probably the case for many who knew Brett and it speaks to his gifts as a person and friend.

It saddens me so much to lose him as a friend. It was too soon.

As you mourn his loss in the days, months and even years to come, I pray that you might somehow, by the power of our loving God, find peace beyond all understanding. I pray that you are provided for in every way, comforted and find a place for healing in your hearts and minds to flourish.

Each time you come to my mind, I pray this prayer for you and know that so many share in this. My prayers for you have not ended now that the news is out and the memorial service is done, but rather they have only begun.

Austin, Tyler and Gabe - You need to know that your Dad had a powerful, positive and multiplicative impact on so many lives. Be proud of who he was. Be very proud to be one of his sons. Let the best of all that he was and stood for live on in your lives.

Psalms 32:7;56:3 - You are my hiding place...when I am afraid, I will trust in you. Maralee - We are praying for you and the boys. Our hearts are heavy for you and we love you all.
