FRED LILLY Obituary

August 24, 1931 - January 8, 2015 MIDWEST CITY Fred Lilly celebrated life and continued to celebrate life on January 8, 2015. He is gone from this world, but lives on in Heaven with his mom, dad, and brothers, all of whom were waiting for him.Upon retiring from the Army, Fred continued his life with his wife, Evelyn, owning and operating Evelyn's Flowers. The flower shop kept him busy, but he never neglected his family and always made time for them; to Fred, God and family was everything. Born in Marlow, OK, to Walter and Maude Lilly on August 24, 1931; Fred had five brothers and is survived by one sister, Doris Haley and brother-in-law, Charles Haley. Fred is also survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn, and three daughters, Kristy, Brenda, and Karen as well as their spouses and children. He was the best grandfather (and oftentimes dad) to six grandchildren whom he loved dearly. There was never a time that when he was needed that he was not there for them. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.Fred will be dearly missed as he was greatly loved by his family. There are no words that can be written that will do justice to Fred's life and the legacy he leaves behind. Dad, we will all be together again one day and it will be a joyous day indeed. You gave so much of yourself to this family. You were such an extraordinary part of our lives and you will forever be in our hearts and on our minds. A Memorial Service to celebrate Fred's life will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 2:00 P.M., Country Estates Baptist Church, Midwest City, OK.

My deepest sympathy to the family- Kristy, I know your Dad was so important to your being the most excellent person you are. What a blessings to have a wonderful Dad and Granddad. Blessings to all of you as you walk the lonely path of being without him, but, look around, he is everywhere..In your voices. .in the things you like to do. . He will live on in each of you. . Blessings and prayers.. as you find him still beside you. . God left the best of him behind in each of you. .
