I was always impressed by Ann's work ethic and talent when our terms at The Oklahoman overlapped. What a loss to us all.

I had the opportunity to work with Ann many years. Her unique style of reporting was amazing. I found her to be very honest and fair. She always did her job in a top notch manner. Ann, you were not only an amazing reporter for our community, you were a true friend. and we always found you to be be honest, sincere, with a very kind spirit.

Ann was a great friend to many who I am going to miss very much.

Ann's friends and work at the Oklahoman were so important to her. She loved her work and her stories were often her way of helping those who had no voice in society and felt alone in their troubles. Her soul is reflected in the eyes of her niece and sister, all exhibiting the same personality traits/facial expressions that only a mother would recognize. To see one little girl was to see all three at that age. So proud of you Ann Marie.

Fond memories waiting for Ann's stories on the Metro/Community Desk in the early aughts. Great reporter, greater human being.

Ann, it was a pleasure to have known you and worked alongside you at the News-Star. Several years after we worked together, I was reading John Grisham's "The Innocent Man" and was surprised to see your name. You, very humbly, had never once mentioned your outstanding work reporting on this case. That says quite a bit about your character. I am deeply saddened today to learn of your passing and you and your loved ones will remain in my prayers. May God welcome you into his arms.
