Jody was the greatest man I could have ever imagined my mother meeting and having the chance of a second life together after my father passed. He was wonderful. He showed her things and took her places she would never have seen or done. He took great care of my mother while he was able and it was a pleasure for us to return the favor when he wasn't. He welcomed our entire family into his without question and we will always be grateful for that. I love you and miss you "Big Daddy".

I will never forget the day I met Jody. It was on the Turner Turnpike at the first rest area,in 1956. My husband and I were moving to Tulsa from OK City, and Jude and Jody were on their way to Tulsa. They all worked together at BIG RED!!! Jody gave me a little sign to hang on our coming baby's door that read "Baby Sleeping." Eventually they all had their own furniture stores and we were all friends for many years. My sympathy is with all of you, the family and friends. God be near and hold you close in this time of sorrow.

Words cannot adequately express my profound sense of loss. Deer season will never be the same without my "uncle" Jody sitting around the campfire and swapping lies about the big bucks that got away. Jody loved life and brightened the lives of those who knew him. I look forward to seeing him again at that great campfire in the sky.

I would like to express my sadness at the loss of Jody. I was privileged to work at Jude and Jody in the office for a short time. When I was younger I use to watch the TV show they had. I always thought a lot of Jody. I know that he will be missed greatly. He and Jude contributed alot to the Oklahoma City people. I shall never forget the time I worked there and got to know these people. God Bless and be with the family at this time of sadness and in your future. God can be a great comfort to you all.
