I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. McNiece at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in France in April of 2007. I even have a picture with him that is dear to my heart. You are a true American HERO! Thank YOU and May GOD Bless You Jake!
I had the pleasure of meeting Jake and Martha through my son Daniel Gordon, at Mt. Curahee in GA. A true soldier, and good person. I loved hearing him talk, as well as Martha about his past. I truly enjoyed them, and will miss him. Prayers for the family. Heaven has a true soldier.
God Bless you and your family.
It is never too late to thank you for your service and I write it now to James, his family and multitude of friends across the world. Good night, sleep well, knowing you gave your all to America throughout your life.
Deepest sympathy to all who will miss you so much.
Thank you for your courage and sacrifice.
Godspeed, soldier. Your work here is done. The generations that followed you are forever in your debt.
Having spent time with Jake and Martha I am profoundly saddened by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Martha and the family. Thank you all for making me a small part of your lives.
I did not know hime but wish I could have!!and to thank him for his service!!
Jake was a one of a kind!! My husband and I attended church with Jake in Ponca City in the 80's and 90's. My husband sat down with Jake one night and just had him tell his story. They started at 6:00pm and were still going strong at 6:00am. Jake was a patriot like no one else!! He will be missed here on earth but the angels are rejoicing to have him among them!
I read Jake's book years ago and have recommended it to many friends. Jake also worked at the church where my wife and I were married! We are both saddened by his loss, but thankful for his service and lifetime example!
I first met Jake when I returned to Ponca City from Desert Shield in 1990. We shared podiums at patriotic gatherings at the local schools. What a great guy. We certainly need more like him -- in uniform and in DC. He will be missed.
No only was Jake was a REAL HERO from the "Greatest Generation", he was a wonderful person to know.
Thank you for serving our country and keeping our country free. Our hearts go out to your family in their time of sorrow. James McNiece is truly a hero and is deeply appreciated by many people.
Your service will always be remembered.
All honor to your name.
Thank you for all the freedoms we share due to the brave service of combat warriors like you. Semper Fi
