Just as no man has power over the spirit or can restrain the spirit, so no one has power over the day of death. Just as no one is discharged during a war, so wickedness will not allow those who practice it to escape. All of this I have seen, and I applied my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his harm. (Ecclesiastes 8:8,9). Jason is missed by family and friends and prayers continue to pour out for his family may you all have peace.

JD. I still cannot believe it. To this day, I am in shock that you are gone. You were one of my great friends who I could tell anything to and would laugh at my jokes, even if it was a fake laugh. I always think about high school and all the crazy times we had. I will NEVER forget the day you came to school with TWO different shoes on. One was black and the other was red and David and I were like...JD, why did you wear two different shoes? And you just looked down and laughed and said..well, I was dressing in a hurry and just grabbed some shoes. I remember the day you came back to Okla from your first leave of iraq. You, Rebecca, and I went to Hastings and talked for hours..about everything and anything. And I will never forget the kindess you showed me when you had to go back to Iraq right after Aiden was born. You helped me through a dark moment in my life. One of my lowest. Even in Iraq, you had time to check your myspace and always write me back and tell me things would get better. And you were right, they did. You were one of the few who remembered my birthday. I still have my pen...Pepper Mae's pen, in its box. I dare not use it because I am to afraid to lose it. I have used once or twice but its back in the box after that. And no one dare touches those movies you gave me. It was great seeing you last May. You, David, and I just eating at Applebees and catching up on old times. The day Rebecca called me and said you were gone hit me like a rock. I couldn't beleive it. I would never hear you say "Rock on" again. I wouldn't hear that laugh again. You had a laugh that made everyone laugh even if we didn't know what it was for. I wish you could have met Aiden. He is the funniest little kid with a BAD temper. You could say that I'm paying for my raising. Our 5 yr anniv. is coming up at high school and you will not be there. This is too sad to even think about, but it is reality. We are doing something in your honor. And you would tell us that it was too much and we do not need to do this and that it will embarrass you. But you deserve this. You gave your life for our country, for our class, and most importantly, for your family. You will never be forgotten. Not a day goes by that Rebecca and I don't talk about you. JD, we all miss you so much. Just know, that to each of us, you are our hero. And we thank you for everything. You will NEVER be forgotten. NEVER!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hunt,
I saw a news program on the untimely death of your son, and it deeply saddened me. My son is also serving as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army. It seems the best and brightest of our young American men are standing up to serve in the U.S. Army. I just want to thank you for raising such an awesome son. He truly is a hero. I appreciate the service Jason gave to our country. This terrible tragedy at Ft. Hood has shocked our nation. I know many people that feel like this will never write to you. I just want to give you my heartfelt condolences on his untimely death. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray this terrorism and this war will end soon.

Dear Family,

My heartfelt condolences to you in the untimely death of your beloved, Jason. As he rests in peace, may you take comfort in God's promise at Psalms 37:9 & 29, "For evildoers themselves will be cut off. But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. The meek ones will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."

My thoughts and prayers continue with your entire family, as well as all of those affected by this tragedy.

When he left to go back to Bagdad, he took part of my heart with him. He was such a gentleman and a sweet, quiet young man. I will remember him and miss him for the rest of my days.
Love you, Jason

To The Family Of SPC JASON DEAN HUNT:

The members and Staff at Behold The Lamb Ministries would like to take this moment to send our prayers to you and ask that The Great God of this Universe will carry you through this storm. We were saddened to learn of the incidents that occurred at Fort Hood.

We want you to know that "since Jesus came to dwell with us, we know that God is acquainted with our trials, and sympathizes with our griefs. Every son and daughter of Adam may understand that our Creator is the friend of sinners. For in every doctrine of grace, every promise of joy, every deed of love, every divine attraction presented in the Saviour's life on earth, we see "God with us." "[DOA, by EGW] We know that sorrow and pain and are all in the "present tense". We pray that the person responsible will ask for forgiveness we pray that we as humans will forgive the person responsible. "The work of redemption will be complete. In the place where sin abounded, God's grace much more abounds. The earth itself, the very field that Satan claims as his, is to be not only ransomed but exalted. Our little world, under the curse of sin the one dark blot in His glorious creation, will be honored above all other worlds in the universe of God. Here, where the Son of God tabernacled in humanity; where the King of glory lived and suffered and died,--here, when He shall make all things new, the tabernacle of God shall be with men, "and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God." And through endless ages as the redeemed walk in the light of the Lord, they will praise Him for His unspeakable Gift,---"[DOA,by EGW]

As we approach the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas we know that your pain may be greater due to your Loved One's absence. We will be praying with and crying in our hearts. We welcome any prayer request that you may have not only today but in the coming weeks, months and years. We will listen, we will cry with you and we will present all petition before the throne of Christ.

WE LOVE YOU IN CHRIST.

To the family of J.D. Hunt:
THANK YOU OUR FALLEN AMERICAN SOLDIER. Thank you to the family for standing behind and beside him as he "became a man". There are no words that can take away the pain, but know and always remember he stood proud. Mom, you raised a fine young man he would want you and Leila to stand proud. I don't begin to know how it feels to loose a child, but know, as a child of God I would take your pain away if I were able.

November 11, 2009
Just read through the 42 pages of messages honoring Jason. How blessed you all were to have such a fine Godly young man as husband, son and brother. What an example he was for living the Christian life. What a selfless life he lived. May God's richest blessings and comfort be with you knowing that he is now receiving his heavenly reward.
November 11, 2009
My son served with Jason in Iraq with Bravo 3-7 as well as 3rd ID at Ft Stewart. As we all know, the bond between our soldiers is one that is never broken and are a family to each other, which to me, makes all of them a part of our family as well. My heart is full of sadness for your loss and pride for Jason. As a mother, this is the horrible fear for all and there is no greater loss than that of a child. May God be with you all and know that Jason is in the arms of an angel and he is truly an American Hero!

Follow The Rainbow To Heaven.
=======================================

A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;

Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,

But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;

The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,

Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;

All the way to the end of the
sky.

That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,

So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us
that same rainbow in the sky;

Where Our Loved One's are
waiting For You and For Me at
the end of the rainbow in
heaven.

Will everyone who has said they knew my brother in the Army please email me personally? My mom and I have been searching for people who knew him to hear stories about his life in the Army away from his family. My mom especially. It brings her great peace to hear how much he was respected by his peers. I am his sister - he probably called me the annoying one who mothered him too much and sent him a box a week in Iraq. I have had the honor and privilege of having Spc. Jason D. Hunt in my home for homecooked meals and Christmas in September before they left for Iraq in 2007, while he was stationed at Fort Stewart, when my daughter was dating his good friend Cody. He was a very respectful, thoughtful young man. I also had the pleasure of cooking him his favorite homemade pizza when they all returned home. He will be missed and fondly remembered.

My heart and prayers are with his family, his wife Jen and children. May God give you the comfort you need and the strength you need to see you through your grief.

To the Hunt family:
My deepest condolences for your loss. I did have the pleasure of knowing Jason, we served together in Bravo Co. 3/7IN during train up and in Iraq. I will say he was a quiet soldier, but one of the better ones. He never caused any problems and was always there for a battle buddy. The ideal infantryman. My thoughts and prayers to your entire family. He will be missed.
November 09, 2009
Thank you for your service. Our condolences to the family.
November 09, 2009
Though I did not know JD that well I did grow up in the same small town of Tipton and was also the quiet one of my class. In that sense I can relate in how leaving high school can truly change a person into the man they need to be if they seek it. I feel I have done that and I certainly feel JD did as well. I hope everyone got a chance to see the man he became and for those who did not I hope that other's memories will help guide them to such. His absence is a great loss and I feel proud of and for him and his families' knowing he died doing what he loved. May God be with you and bless you with the good memories JD brought to you. RIP JD
November 09, 2009
I didn't know him as well as others because he was younger than me in school, but what I do remember is that J.D was always so quiet and so nice. My heart goes out to his wife and children. I just recently got married myself and can't imagine what you must be feeling. My husband and I both went to school in Tipton and while we are sad about what happened, we are proud that J.D. will always be remembered as a hero. RIP JD
November 09, 2009

November 08, 2009
I love you baby, you are in my thoughts and heart forever. I will love you, like I said in my vows, forever.
November 08, 2009
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

From what I have read about "J.D.", he must have been the best son a parent could ever hope for, the best brother, the best husband, the best student, and even more importantly, the best soldier. He definately was a very fine young man, and he surely must be resting in the arms of Jesus. To his family, please know that many, many people are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time in your lives. May God bless you, your family, and dear, sweet Jason.
