Very sad to hear about passing of one more of the Dave Clark Five. There music was so upbeat and fun to dance to. I can only imagine he will be jamming with Mike Smith, Lenny Davidson, and Denny Payton again in that great band in heaven. Rest In Peace Rick and thank you for all the music you made with this great group.
You will always be a true legend in my heart! You brought so much to life with your time on earth! Peace...
Sad news, he gave me great memories from the Royal Tottenham with DC5 happy days Keith.

GOD WILL SUSTAIN IN YOUR HOUR OF NEED."HAPPY ARE THOSE WHO MOURN,SINCE THEY WILL BE COMFORTED."...~~~~~
We will miss Rick, but God needed a bass player, I guess.
When I was about 15 I saw them Live at the Cleveland Playhouse. Wwent to see their movie "Having a Wild Weekend" at a local movie theater. They were always my favorite British Invasion band.
My first concert was the DC5 at Melodyland theater in Anaheim, Ca. 1964. I was 16 and I'll always remember the experience, Thank you and God bless.
Still feeling, Glad all over.
I am sorry for your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of grief. God cares for you and will help you during your time of need. ( Psalms 121:2)
Thanks ! Your music still makes me young again.
Must be a place where the universe rocks today!
Jehovah God can certainly use a bass player. After ths promised resurrection found at Act 24:15 is fulfilled Rick can play for God.
Thank YOU For The Great Music Of The OLDESBTGOODES Rick. Love The Songs.
loved DC5 since I was 9, now57 still great music thank
Learned some of my first basslines almost 50 years ago from Rick, and James Jamerson. I had a lot of fun playing in bands, myself! Sadly after the passing of Denis,Lenny, and Mike only Dave remains of the band known as "That driving Tottenham sound". You all will be missed.
I got to see the Dave Clark Five at the Cincinnati Gardens...can't remember what year, but they put on a very good show.
May you find peace and comfort in Eccl. 9:5 . You have my deepest sympathy.
The DC5 were one the best bands ever...clean cut, great songs, unforgetable. May God Bless Ricks family and give you comfort. He will never be forgotton.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Rick Huxley during this difficult time. God's word, the Bible, speaks of a time when all sorrow, suffering, injustice, sickness and death will be no more - Isaiah 65:17,21-24.
Good night Rick, until that glorious morning arrives.
My condolences are with the Huxley Family in their time of grief.
At times like these, 'God can give us "power beyond what is normal," so we can keep going from one day to the next. (2 Cor.4:7) May your memories continue to bring the family a measure of comfort.
Saw the DC5 in New Haven, CT a few light years ago. They were my band, bought all their albums saw the movie. Those were the good times! Rest in peace Rick.
My twin brother and I play bass in middle school. We really enjoy the rich and low voice of the bass. John 5:25 says," ... All those in the memorial tombs will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who have taken heed will live."
I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Please find peace and comfort in Psalms 65:2.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I only knew him as a fan, but morn his passing as if he were a friend. The DC5 was my favorite group when I was a teenager. My sympathies to the family.
I saw, listened and danced to the DC5 at the University of Virginia in the early '60s. The guys were truly great.
The 3 big rivals of the 60's British invasion were the Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Dave Clark 5. The DC 5 made more appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show than any one performer. Rick Huxley was a very big part of all of the fun we had back then. Great music. My condolences to his family.
save me a spot rick thanks
you were the best rick catch us if you can your fan steve
I love the DC5!
Whole,Safe and Intact
I remember when DC5 played at the Terrace Ballroom in downtown Salt Lake City when I was a preteen. Rick was looking in our direction and I was instantly smitten! I had a huge crush on him after that. So Sorry to learn of his passing.
I had the exceptional privilege of having Rick play Bass in my local London Band during the eighties. He was a kind, funny, brilliant guy. We lost touch when I moved to Spain, but we found each other again over the internet, and had some great chats up until a few weeks ago.
God bless you my friend, and may you be playing up there when it is my turn...I shall miss your incredible humour and compassion.
Old Memories come back to me of Tottenham UK 1962 & 63 Those were the days rest in Peace my Friend.
We have lost another great musician of the sixties. My sympathy to the family.
Living in the sticks meant looking for a way to be entertained which your parents would approve of. Rock and Roll did that - and along with the Fabs - the DC5 helped propel from childhood to womanhood. I never saw them in person but loved their music. I too rushed home from Sunday evening church services to watch Ed Sullivan and the DC5. Funny to think of it now - but very important to make it home in time to catch the show. Thanks for the memories. Prayers for all his fans, family and friends.
Great band and we serve a great God. May he bless you Rick with eternal love.
Rick you will not be forgotten and your contribution to the music scene will remain forever. Rest well until we meet again.
Another fav band member from my childhood is gone. i enjoyed dc5 music ie. bits & pcs. A time will come when all those who have suffered the infirmities of old age will return to their youth- job 33:25.
My organism and my heart have failed. God is the rock of my heart and my share to time indefinite. Psalms 73:26
Sympathy to family and friends. Sorry for your loss. Eccl.9:5.
Your music was an important part of my life back in the early 60's. I dashed to the black and white TV every Sunday to watch the Ed Sullivan show hoping to see if the DC5 was playing. And now along with Denny, Mike and yourself, you can Rock on Forever in Rock and Roll Heaven. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to the Huxley Family, Dave Clark and Lenny Davidson. Peace.
Thanks for the great music and the memories... you, Mike, Dave, Lenny and Dennis will never be forgotten. God Bless.

DC5 Flashback - 5am Christmas day 1965 I unwrapped a portable record player, a Four Seasons Golden Hits album and a 45rpm - "Over and Over", which I played over and over again cranked up LOUD all morning long. That tune hit No.1 the same day on WLS radio in Chicago. I hope I helped. Thanks Rick Huxley and mates for the thrills as fresh today as back then.

The Dave Clark 5 was my first Rock and Roll Concert held at the Civic Arena in June of 1964.
Rick, you guys had a sound never equaled. The Beasties must've been looking over their shoulders so often it strained John's eyesight into thinking Yoki was"Mona" RIP
To Rick's family, may you find comfort in warm memories of a great guy.
Glad all over that the DC5 was a part of my teen years. Not only did I have the pleasure of seeing them in concert on more than one occasion, but was privileged to share a couple of rather amusing moments directly with the guys -- memories I will cherish always.

So sad to see that Rick has left us, so happy that he may now rejoice in eternal life, joining bandmates Dennis & Mike. I met him once, the funny man was not feeling well that day. The world is a less happy place without Rick.
John 5:28,39 gives us hope for the future to see those we love that passed away in death.
Two observations on Rick Huxley. At his induction into the Hall of Fame with his bandmates, Dave Clark and Lenny Davidson, he thanked his wife, who appeared to be around the same age as he was. Unusual in rock'n roll. There was a reason the bass was so prominent on those early records. His soulful approach to the Fender Precision drove that band.
Thinking about Dave Clark Five brings back such happy times of my youth - thanks for the memories Rick. RIP
To the bereaved family of Mr. Donald Byrd. May the God of all comfort, comfort you in your time of grief. 2Cor.1:4.
Im so sorry for your loss and may family and friends draw comfort from Gods inspired word the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16).
