I learned of the Barrister's passing far too late to celebrate his life with others who loved him well. He was one of the best friends I ever had, and gave his friendship back in so many wonderful ways, giving me more grand memories that one person deserves to have. One of the sweetest gifts he gave to me was on a trip to Albuquerque one year, he not only let me fly with him, he took my mother up as well--on her 60th birthday.(Flying in a hot air balloon was on her bucket list, but a gift I could never have afforded to give her.) We had a "highway landing", and after the basket stopped rolling, I found him with his arms around my mother, protecting her, as she struggled to get up, and all the while she was screaming, "Can we go again??!!" That was the kind of joy he brought to everyone. He left them breathless, but yelling, "Can we go again?"
Robert performed the ceremony marrying my husband Fred and I on January 18th, 2000, and it thrilled me to have him join us. There was no one I'd rather have done it, and it seems to have stuck, as we are still together.
Fred just says it isn't fair that he didn't get to know you as well as I, but he is thankful for the years he did.
Barrister, I look forward to the day I join you and all your friends, so we can go again.
Missing you every day,
Jacque Harris Holdaway, and husband SFC Freddie L. Holdaway, Jr.
Bobby was the wonderful kind-hearted cousin I grew up with! He was four years older than me; our families spent every Thanksgiving together! My Dad (Dr. Russel A. Barber) was his "Uncle Bus". Bobby and Jimmy would spend summers with us while Uncle Bob performed his duties as President of Rotary International! Jimmy tells the story of getting 25 cents an hour for weeding and then going into town (Columbiana, OH) to spend it! We also spent a lot of time swimming at the Firestone Park Pool in Columbiana. My Dad was the veterinarian for the Canfield Fair and the Canfield Horse Show. My Granddad and Dad were large animal veterinarians specializing in horses. Bobby would often go with my Father on "calls". I remember Bobby as being always willing to do anything he could to help out! When I was in high school I was the editor of my high school newspaper. One cold, icy, winter night Bobby and my Mother took the paper to neaby Lisbon to be printed so it would come out on time! I will always be greatful to them for their bravery that night! Bobby was my cousin, my friend, my Big Brother! I am thankful to him for everything he did for me and my family! My family--my Mother, my Father, my Brother Al and I-- loved him dearly! Our prayers are with Susan, Robert and his family, and Joanne. I am so sorry he is not with us anymore! I love you Bobby!
We remember having great times with Bob during our mutual years in Ann Arbor. We are so sorry to learn of Bob's death.
David and Jane Manchester Wheeler (Libby Gilpatric's sister)
To Susan and your children, what a guy was my dear cousin Bobby! Sending you my deepest sympathy and sorrow for your loss.
Bob was my favorite cousin and pal during our high school days. He taught me how to drive his semi-automatic stick shift Mercury, probably 1957. I had no idea of his illness when he unexpectedly purchased a painting he had seen on my website in June 2012. In attempting to learn of his whereabouts on the occasion of the devastating tornado that hit Ok. City today, May 20, 2013, I am shocked and terribly sad to learn that he had been ill at that time. I send you, his family, my sincerest sympathy and sorrow at his passing. Bob was my best friend all through high school, attending Youth Group meetings at our church every week. We had a great friendship. My parents were Helen and Hugh Manchester, Bob's dad's second cousin. They grew up together playing on the family farm in Canfield. I hope and pray that no one in your family was harmed by the devastating storm that hit your area today. I hope you will keep in touch with us. You can find my contact information on my website: www.libbygilpatric.com
When i feel the fairest of winds,

God Bless you in Heaven, Big Guy.
Robert Manchester you were such a wonderful, caring, man. You helped everyone we all knew, We all think of you every day. God bless you Susan, for he loved you very much. All my thoughts and love. VICKI HARRIS
Bob was my favorite boss . . . EVER! I am so sorry to hear that he has passed on, and that I was out of town when the funeral occurred. Knowing that he was a race fan seemed to help me, as we were at the Formua1Grand Prix in Austin at that time. My condolences to you, Susan, and the entire family. Love you, Bob, and will miss your presence on this planet. Sincerely yours, Karen Hester
There was no other ...like Robert A. A tremendous loss to our family, law enforcement, the courts, and to the people of Oklahoma County. Road Warrior lost his "second dad." Our love and prayers to you Susan, Rob and family...
An inspriation to my son, a friend to many, always the hit at a party. I remember the first day I was introduced to Robert 17 years ago, He made an impression then and the impression remains. Will miss his early morning phone calls to "Jimmy". He will be missed by many. Thanks for everything you did for my son and for me.
Elaine and Richard
I saw Robert at the OK Co Courthouse not long ago and he was still the same, personable man I met many years ago. He always had something positive to say. My prayers go out to the the family.
I only met Robert briefly on a trip to Mexico, but found him to be someone I think I could hang out with anytime. He and Susan were a true pleasure to meet. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts are with you.
Balloon Man: I will miss him sending me places to visit on my Bucket List. A Lawyer trusted for his word by Judges-a rare commodity indeed!
The world is a lot less interesting with Robert's passing. Those of us that were blessed to spend time with you are better for it. Bob, wherever you are, know that there are many people missing you. Cheers to you! We miss you and our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Dear Susan, Robert lV, and other members of the Manchester Family. Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences. Bob was a very special person / Marine and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him! As you know, Bob was proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was especially proud to have served on the Silent Drill Platoon at the Marine Barracks, 8th & I Streets, Washington, DC (the oldest active post in the Corps), during the 1961-1963 period. Bob's many duties at 8th & I included providing security for the President of the United States at Camp David and elsewhere. For more information about Bob's experiences at 8th & I, please visit these websites: www.8thandi.com and www.mbw.usmc.mil. Rest in peace, Bob, my 8th & I friend! Well done, Marine!!! John T. Reim, 8th & I Marine, Silent Drill Platoon, 1958-1961 "Semper Fi"
Robert and I were often together as we went to our sons athletic events while they both attended Heritage Hall. They both later graduated OU Law School also. Robert IV and Dennis C. Roberts, II. I apologize that I had a probate matter this morning in Kingfisher and was unable to attend the memorial service. Robert was a skilled lawyer and able advocate in addition to being one of the fairest and impartial judges that I ever appeared before in my 42 years of practice.
They say that the stature of a man is the void that is created by his absence and on that measure alone Robert is a man of great stature and reputation. I will miss his droll sense of humor and quick mind. Our best regards to Robert's family and loved ones on their loss.
Dennis C. Roberts and Family
Robert was unique, one of a kind. Most of all he was genuine. Our profession, city, state and nation are better because he passed this way. Robert lived his life without an ounce of indifference. You knew Robert cared; you could see that trait in his deeds of generosity to others! What a great example his life is for us all.
Dear Susan - It was a lovely service and the true spirit of Robert was so eloquenty captured. Robert was bigger than life and there is a tremedous void in our lives today. Please know that our thoughts are with you and Robert A will never be forgotten.
Jim and Carrie Wilson
An honorable gentleman and credit to the legal profession. I will miss him.
He was amazing to sit next to for 10 years as Court Clerk. He was such a good Judge and a wonderful friend.
So many memories after 35 years of friendship. His mark is indelible.
Lovely service capturing Robert A.'s spirit! Once a Marine, always a Marine. When Robert learned my son is a Marine, Robert began sending me emails with Marine news and trivia. I shall miss those emails. And when my son was deployed this Summer in Afghanistan, Robert sent beef jerky for my son and his buddies. I am just sorry that my son will not get to meet Robert in person in this world to thank him for his kindness.
My Dear Susan and Andrea, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Susan, I know Robert was the love of your life and how blessed you have been to spend so many years and have so many memories. My dad adored your husband, stating numerous times, what a "gentleman" he is. My brother, Max thought a great deal of Robert also because of the respect he showed police officers. I love you both and promise that soon I will get in touch with you both and spend some time together. But, for now, know that you have my sympathy and prayers as your loved one takes his JUDICIAL seat in Heaven with my dear father Jerry, Justice Opala and many who preceded him. Love always, Karlyn Blumenthal
Bobby was one of my mentors who I could always count for advice and support when I was just starting out as a rookie attorney in 1986. He stood up for me when I was a nobody intern at the public defender's office when I got held in contempt of court by a crazy judge. I will never forget that.
Robert was a good friend of mine, and a good judge.
Gerald R. Hayes
Municipal Judge of
Walters, Temple, and Comanche OK
Robert, you will be missed byall those that knew you.
Lindy and David Goss
Gone, but will never be forgotten. More than just a friend, family, or mentor. You and Joanne helped mold me into the person I am today, For that, I am eternally grateful.
As I have said to everyone, he was the greatest man I have ever known. I always looked forward to Court each week and seeing his kind face. He has done many a things for me and my family and I will always be greatful. It was always an honor to sit next to you each week. He will be forever missed. To Susan, Rob and family, my prayers are with all of you.
Robert Manchester served as the City of The Village Municipal Judge for well over two decades. He was creative, compassionate, and always fair to defendants. There will never be a finer man to wear the black robe. I was honored to prosecute in front of him all those years. I learned much from him about his love for the law. I'll miss him dearly as His Honor, the judge, and friend.
Susan, I am so sorry. I know that Bob was the love of your life, and that you will miss him like crazy...you were fortunate to have the time with him, but that is small consolation. Bob was a great guy and a fine lawyer.
As the song goes " I did it my way" Bob did. He had impact and created memory where ever he passed. May good angels bless and keep us every one.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Susan, your family and friends as you celebrate the rich life of your sweet husband, Robert.
Robert, all of the following words have been used to describe a GREAT MAN. Generosity, Humor, Personality, Greatest, Honorable, Lawyers Lawyer, Brother Marine, Great Friend, Amazing, Gentleman and Scholar. That is Robert A. Manchester III. Bless Susan, Rob, Jim and Family. I loved you like a brother. Jim Wingert.
Yours was always a friendly face, that I will miss seeing. Thank you Judge for many years of kind words, advice, and support.
I first met Bob when he was interning for the City Attorneys Office in the late 60's or early 70's. He Fred Anderson and I worked many homicide investigations together. Later in years when I was going through bad times Bob and you Susan both represented me, of course for free as I had nothing. Later when I was trying to find a job Bob put me to work for him. Providing his credit cards, office space and staff. To say he was a friend is saying it lightly he was like a Brother. We went through good and bad times together. May you rest in peace my friend and brother. Larry Upchurch
You were a gift to this world. Thank you for your generosity to all you met. Peace ,love and comfort to your family.
I was so sorry to hear about Robert's passing. He was a truly great attorney and an even better man. I personally owe him debts I will never be able to repay. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Michael Haggerty, President, Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Robert's friends and clients always came first. He always made me feel welcome and was ready to help a fellow lawyer. I'm saddened by the loss but enriched by our friendship.
Robert was one of a kind. He was kind, pleasant, fun, witty and professional to all. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to you Susan and the entire family.
I will never be able to thank you, but I will be eternally grateful.
Robert may you rest in peace.
I savor the image of Bob as a Marine Guard at the Pearly Gates; however, he's the bare-chested one... cause all the rest of us still benefit from his gift of "the shirt off his back." He was just that kind of guy! One of the best men I have ever known. We'll carry on now cause that's how he'd have it... but the world will just not be the same.I never knew a soul who didn't like Bob! R.I.P. old friend!
Judge Gregory J. Ryan
Great lawyer...but an even better man. Always a smile. I am proud to have known him. He will be missed!!
Bob what a shock to see this news that you have traveled ahead of me. We met over 13 years ago because I was in need of your great services and became Good friends over the years. Susan my heart and prayers are with you through these times. May God give you and bob comfort to see you through. We will miss you more than words can say. God Bless
Judge Manchester was a gentle and kind soul. He was always so friendly and kind to the all the Court staff, bringing donuts many times. His appearances here in the Edmond will be greatly missed. I'm so blessed to have known him. Judge Synar (deceased 11/5/11) and he will make a great team in heaven.
I went through law school with Robert and he was a great guy, attorney and friend. We continued to work together as members of the Court Services Board for Oklahoma County. He gave freely of his time and talents to help his fellow man and he will be sorely missed. God speed Robert.
Oklahoma County Commissioner
Bob was a wonderful man. We are so sorry for your loss.
Bob and Teresa Brown
Robert was a great inspiration and a selfless individual. A lover of life. From the Bungee Jumpin' Mum Farmer. You will be missed.
Robert A was a man of compassion, wit, and good humor. He was a great lawyer and a fine human being. We will miss him. Our profession lost one of its finest.
Bob, You were the first defense attorney I remember meeting when I started working with the courts twenty years ago. You made a lasting impression that day and pretty much weekly and sometimes daily for all these years. You have been a supporter, a friend, and an inspiration to me. Knowing you has made me both better at what I do and a better person. You have made a difference and all who have known you will feel the loss of a special person...goodbye, old friend - I will miss you.
Kind, caring, giving, fun-loving Robert A, you made my life better and brighter by being my friend, and your support to me when my life was turned upside down will always be cherished. Love and condolences to Susan and your family.
Though I never knew Robert, I also served at the Barracks from 65 through 73 and once a 8th & I Marine always an 8th & I Marine. I'm sure that he is already been assigned to the Gates of Heaven as a ceremonial Marine guard!
David B. Wright
Bob was a great friend to those in need as well a a great lawyer. The legal system greatly benefit from his knowledge, expertise and giant heart. He will be tremendously missed.
For the rest of us, life will now be a little less bright.
Judge Larry A. Jones
Robert you will truly be missed. My mother and I thought the world of you.
Robert Asa Manchester III finally standing down? I'll be damned!
I first met Bob in 1965. He has been a great friend ever since. He will be greatly missed and well remembered.
A great man and friend to all who knew him. Rest in peace Robert.
Another Angel has recieved his Wings!. You will be missed. Until we meet again, my Friend.
Robert was the perfect example of professionalism as an attorney. Always a gentleman, concerned for the best interests of his clients, and genuinely respectful of everyone involved in the legal process. Our profession suffered a loss, and personally so many friends have as well. He is admired, respected, and will be greatly missed.
Robert was a long time friend of my family. He was a wonderful man and an amazing lawyer. I can not believe he is gone. God Bless you and your family. Rest in Peace my friend.
I will never forget your words of encouragement when I was a young PD, not to mention the cocktails you treated me to after long days in court. I will return the favor to other young lawyers, in your honor, for years to come. You are irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.
My prayer is that Robert's family take comfort in memories of his warm and good humor, and take pride in the numbers of people who have been touched by his friendship and help.
Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us.
Only spoke to you a few times and corresponded via email but your character and devotion to your fellow man was plainly evident.
Carry on good and faithful Marine.
Bob Armbruster, Esq.
8th & I 69-71
I may have only spoken to you twice on the phone, yet I have known you all these years through Jim. Bob, you will be missed terribly!!!
Manchester-You will truly be missed.
A good man, proud to call him my friend.
We met by e mail a few years ago...we reminisced about growing up in Canfield and the Marine Corps. May you rest in peace and Semper Fi.from your fellow 8th & I Marine.
I met Robert as I needed an attorney when I had messed things up for myself. I would have never thought that this man would not only be the best of the best attorney we became friends. Our love of animals (especially cats)strengthened our frienship. He lifted me up when I was not sure I would ever get back up. He would call to visit about our kitties....he would have presents for Tillie (my cat) and her mom. Who EVER heard of your attorney becoming such a strong influence. I was so lucky to have him as he believed in the truth and he demonstrated such integrity. I will miss my wonderful emails that we exchanged over the years. I was/AM blessed and a much better person to have had him in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, including his many kitties (esp. Louie and Dewie who went to the office daily with Robert!!). He will be missed by all...truly the best of the best in all facets of his life.
God Bless his family I can not imagine losing a true angel on earth.
To know you has been good.
Your big smile and kind words will be missed so much by so many. Always a true gentleman. I am proud to call you my friend. Rest in Peace.

Robert was the best friend anyone could ever ask for. A fixture of Oklahoma City's Downtown, his jovial personality will be sorely missed by many, more than he could have ever imagined.
Here's to Uncle Willy's and the Aardvark Society! Heaven is being blessed with a "one of a kind" wonderful, treasure!!
I will miss seeing him at the courthouse. He could always turn a bad day into a good one.
Well, my fellow Yankee. I sure have missed you since I retired from the PD. Many times we sat and talked about Youngstown etc. Never met a more Honest and sincere Attorney. You had become a friend and will always be rememberd. Now, save me a seat close to ya and we can chat once again.
Rest in peace, Marine. Semper Fi!
Dick Doyle - 8th & I -'52-'54
Just one of many lawyers who owe thanks. He took the time to help a young lawyer and reminded me to react with professionalism in all situations. Truly a gentleman scholar.
Robert, I still don't know how to say goodbye to you. You were one of the best lawyer, gentleman and compassionate persons I ever had the privilege to meet and work with. Godspeed. I and the boys will miss you forever.
To Susan, Rob and Jim - Our deepest heart-felt sympathy. Both of us having known Bob for 55 years, but not knowing that he was ailing, have a profound feeling of shock and loss. We were 15 years old when we met Bob in high school. He was always the most incredible, personable, high-energy, friendly guy who from that early age had a sense of justice and a willingness to help anyone in need. Thus we were not surprised to learn over the years of his distinguished legal career and his pro bono work and defense representation.
Susan, we were so glad to meet you at a Rayen reunion and admired the relationship that you and Bob shared; Bob returning as a conquering hero to his classmates, exhibiting his star quality as always.
Rob, we knew your Manchester grandparents and your uncle Jim. Your grandfather coming from a long line of lawyers would have been proud of your professional choice, and I know your father was - a very proud father.
Robert, you be missed terribly. You were a kind and giving man. the village will not be the same without you. Another great one God took home. Give Eric a hug for us. May God be with Susan and your family, Sincerely, Debbie and Christian Knight
Always the gentleman, Bob gave us an example to follow to bring dignity to the legal profession and to the rest of our lives. He will be missed.
The Manchesters lived just down the road from our farm where I grew up. I can see their house in my mind's eye perfectly still. I was 9 years younger, but my two older brothers have kept his memory and the Manchester family memory alive all these years because they both spoke so highly of Bob. May he RIP and may his Light shine brightly.
My prayers are with you and your family, Bob. We shared many a fond memory from our Marine Corps days in D.C. and Camp David. Semper fidelis and Godspeed.
A true gentleman. A talented lawyer. A tremendous influence. He will be missed and remembered fondly.
Rest in Peace, Robert. You will be missed by so many people.
Robert was an immediate friend the first time we met. No matter who you were, Robert always met you with a smile and a warm Hello. He was a great Ambassador for all. Rest in peace my friend, we will all miss you.
Bob, you will be missed more than you will ever know. Tonight Jim and I are heart broken knowing that we have lost to the angels an incredible human being. We will always remember all the wonderful times we shared together and cherished. We raise to you a glass of champange and you will always be in our thoughts and hearts. God bless and keep you.
Jim and Carrie Wilson
We have lost such an amazing man, but Heaven has gained the ultimate angel. Save me and Doc a place Robert. We'll make lots of music. Our thoughts and prayers to you Susan and your family.
It was very special knowing you and exchanging millions of e-mails. You will be missed, by me, and hundreds of others! My sincere condolences to your friends and family Robert! -Bob Simpson
Until we meet again Robert,
Thanks for being my very close friend for
over 40 years. I Love Ya Brother
I am trully saddened by the passing of Mr. Manchester. Before my husband, Van, and my daughter, Aimee, passed away as a result of a car accident, Mr. Manchester helped Van and I with a legal matter and didn't charge us any money, because of Van being ill and us being, down and out. I will never forget him for that. A very caring man. God bless his family, Pat F.
Remember Manchester (always used last names)well from our Drill Team days.
Bob was a true friend to all police officers who knew him. I admired and respected him for more than the 40 years we knew each other. He was a dear friend and will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are for the family of a great representative of the legal profession.
I can't remember exactly when I met Robert A. Sometime in the 70's I guess. He has just always been there and he has always been my friend! The world is a better place because of him. I will miss him!
This is certainly very difficult to take. It's like a part of my childhood died as he was very well liked by all his friends in Canfield. I wish he could have made it to our 50th class reunion in Canfiled
Robert was among the very finest men and lawyers who ever walked the earth. I loved working with him and will never forget his humor, skill, and generosity. As I am sure many others have already done, I offer a tip of the Old Hatlo to Bob. A spirit as resilient of his will never evaporate. Jim Drummond
We love Robert and his wonderfully kind personality. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife, a good friend, and his family.
My condolences to Robert's family. He was a good friend of mine during our ballooning days in the southwest.
Susan, I am so sorry for your loss. I had only been around Bob a few times, but as his obituary said, he befriended everyone he met and I can see I saw that in him. Prayers are with you and your family.
Condolences on Bob's passing. He was a great Marine and a fine gentleman. May God comfort you and family.
Bob will be one of the "the Proud, the Few" that guard the streets of heaven.
Served with him at Marine Barracks, Washington DC
To the Manchester family and Mr. Manchesters Marine family, I am so sorry for your loss. I learned of the 8th and I from my late husband, Chet Russo, and so I know how wonderful you all were. Rest in peace soldier, and for all of your family, may peace and love and memories help with your pain.
Your one of the greatest men have ever known thank you brother we'll meet again.
He was there at our engagement, and one of the few who encouraged and believed in our union, and the etching that was his wedding gift to us is one of the first hung in each new home we move into. We were just talking last week about the screamingly fun weekend we spent together at the Canfield Fair, and subsequent week at our farm. The stories the laughter, the love... All will be remembered for long and always.
You were one tough Marine and lawyer. It was my pleasure to have known you. You inspired me. God bless your family.
I am sad that we have lost a great gentleman, an honorable man, and our friend. Our heart felt condolences to you his family.
I consider it an honor that I was included in your Fathers emails! I had the privilege of being his friend for over 30 years. I am very sorry for your loss. I have many great memories of your Dad both as a lawyer and Judge that I will always cherish. Bill Sullivan
Bob, you are proof that only the best serve at 8th&I and go on and continue to serve your fellow man and country.
Rest in peace Marine.
The Balloonists' Prayer
The winds have welcomed you with softness. The sun has blessed you with its warm hands. For you have flown so high & so well that God has joined you in your laughter and welcomed you gently back into the loving arms of Mother Earth. Soft Landings & My Love
well done bob!we will miss you.
Robert was a friend to everyone who met him. He made us all feel important including those who appeared in his court. I met him many years ago and even though months might go by between my contacts with him he was always ready to help.
He earned the highest praise I think a lawyer can receive...Robert was a lawyers lawyer. My heartfelt sympathies to his family.
Many fond memories together while brother Marines.
Rest in peace Bob; you earned it.
Our prayers and thoughts are with your family. Job well done, Marine.
Merle Johnson, Marine Corps Drill Team '58-'61
Robert Manchaster was a true gentleman as a lawyer, man, and human being. All three categories are much-diminished by this loss and I fear they are not making many more like him. He forced civility and sophistication into our profession not by demanding it from others, but by continually exhibiting it himself and the only folks who have not learned a great deal from Manchester are the ones who haven't been paying very good attention.
I will miss you my friend, God bless you and keep you - until we meet again.
Bob you will be missed by all...such an incredible person that will be an outstanding Angel....
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
A GREAT MAN and good friend whom I look forward to seeing again.
You will always be in our hearts, Sheri and Jesse Taylor
Raise a glass high to an old Law School classmate and friend. Great Life.
My wife and I heard Robert speak on several times and really enjoyed listening to his stories and tales. Our thoughts and prayers with his entire family.
Dr. and Mrs. David Hawkins (pilots of hot-air balloon Chameleon)
Bob was "one of a kind"!
I'm saddened by his passing and will pray
for your family's peace of mind, Rob.
Diane Blaney and family
Robert, Thank you for everything you have done for me.I will miss your smile and encouragement so much.I still can't believe this is real. You are so amazing to me. If everyone was more like you this world would be a perfect place. The phrase that you always said "Hello Lovely one" will be burned in my mind forever. Love always
A true and loyal friend. I will miss you my friend,Semper Fidelis.
As a career law enforcement officer of 42 years I always felt one hell of a friendship with Robert, either in court, in a hallway or in his office he was a brother Masonic-and one of my best friend. It was an honor and privledge to know him. He will surely be missed. Richard E. Lee-Retired OCPD and current Sergeant with Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.
A gentleman and a scholar ! He will be missed.
Robert was a long time balloon buddy. He bought my balloon calendar to give to his friends, for more years than I can remember. When he called he always wanted to hear what resent ballooning adventures we had been on. Always supportive and a welcome voice on the other end of the phone.
Many Soft Landings
"The Balloon Photographer"
A true and loyal friend, you will be missed. Semper Fidelis ,
What a wonderful man and beautiful person! A new friend, but already a cherished one, he will be missed forever. God bless you Robert and your precious family.
Farewell to a great lawyer and a good man. A true patriot.
I had an occassion to meet Mr. Manchester
back in 1994 during one of his balloon adventures. We lived in the area of Western & Waterloo in North Edmond. Mr. Manchester landed his balloon right next to our house. With a 3 year old that was enthralled at the sight of the "big balloon" we ventured out as well as half of the other neighborhood kids. Mr. Manchester was kind enough to let the kids gather around and impressed them with the noise that the heated air makes and explained how it flys. His balloon enthusiasm was evident. I recall him telling me "his first ride cost $125 and his second $10k as he purchased a balloon". Thank you for kindness that I'm sure many of the kids remember today. May you rest in peace and our Heavenly Father bring your family comfort.
