I wrote this poem going through a tuff time once. I wanted to take what I was going through & write something to someone else if I had knowledge of them struggling to. It is a poem of encouragement.
"A Touch From God (I AM)"
Like the fresh air that greets us each morning we arise, or the bright and cheery sun that reaches in the skies, like beauty in the flowers, birds and butterflies, a friend who needs uplifting, we fail to recognize
Like the grass we mow so often with it's aroma and so green, or the car that faithfully takes us on and off the scene, like water that's warm in our bath it makes us nice and clean, a friend in silent suffering a great deal our concern would mean
How often we move about in a world so fastly paced, failing to really open our hearts to the things God wonderfully graced, from natures beauty to His work in us that even now is taking place, we become blinded to the Master's plan to touch the human race
The touch that God intends is not just Hello/Goodbye, but for each of us to take the time and open up our eyes, to touch a life that's hurting, lost or is in need, for a little Christ like compassion, to them we are to heed
So to you my friend I'm sorry if I've seemed to be real slow, to bring to you that special touch to set your life a glow, the kind of touch that's gentle, genuine and sincere, "A Touch From God" to let you know that Jesus and "I AM" near
