I really enjoyed knowing him in elementary and high school and am glad for all the memories I have.

Shawn was a dynamic godly man – husband, father and minister of our Lord Jesus. We were so blessed to know him. Anne, Aaron, Emilie, Katie and Michael, you are so blessed to have him as your father! Even though for a short time, it was time that your dad allowed God to do His work in each one of you. I will pray that each day you see God and your daddy in your life and you'll say, “Wow, that's God in me, that's dad in me.” And Marla, we will continue to pray for you as you find comfort in the Lord and through family and friends. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We love you.

We will always remember Shawn's generous smile to the Deaf Church. He will be greatly missed by the First Southern Baptist Deaf Church. His heart now belongs to Jesus Christ.
