April 17, 1927 - Sept 29, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY James David "Jim" Guinn, III died at home September 29, 2013. "Buddy," as he was known to his family, was born April 17, 1927, in OKC to James David, Jr. and Ruth (Martin) Guinn. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, 1945-1946. Jim married Patricia Freeman August 5, 1961. An avid golfer, he worked 31 years as a Property Manager for the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. Jim is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home; his sister, Anne Marie McMillan, of California; two nieces, Connie and Cheryl; and a nephew, Gary. Services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, with Senior Adult Pastor Doug Muchow, of Faith Church, officiating. I had the pleasure of working with Jim at our law firm in the 90s. He was a kind soul and he always had stories to tell. I still have a coffee cake recipe that he gave me after sharing a a sample that Pat had made. I know he will be truly missed. Many prayers for the entire family.
