Jim was like a member of the family.
We always depended on his expertise about the weather daily. We loved to watch Jim and Hannelore(love that name)do the "Chicken Dance" at Octoberfest. He was an Achiever like no other. We remember you and your family in our prayers daily. Also, support the coats for kids project.
Abiding Love,
Dean & Billie Loshbaugh

Jim not only did an outstanding job, he was an amazing man. His character and kindness was obvious on the air or in public. I truly felt like I had lost a member of my own family. How blessed you were to have had him as a husband and father. My deepest sympathy.

I remember Jim Giles as a little girl being on the news. I would wait for him to come on when we had a bad snow to find out school was out. I am sadden to hear of his death. My prayers go out to his family during this tremendously hard time.

Jim was such a wonderful person, I always remember waking up early in the winter to see if Jim said it would snow and schools would be out. And when it stormed he was such a comfort even in the worst storms. He will be missed so much. The lives he touched with his coats for kids and Octoberfest will always remind me of Jim and Hanna. Tulsa won't be the same without Him!
