Miss him so much. He had a wonderful personality. I always felt safe when he was on the job.

Jim Giles was a clear cut example of humanity at it's
Best. He stepped up, out and
Into where the action would
Occur, established an anchored trust throughout out start, to each citizen. God Bless Him.

Jim Giles was such a precious person. Because of the precarious location of Tulsa between the Rockies and Gulf, it's difficult to predict weather in the Tulsa area, but Jim Giles could do it better than any other meteorologist in town. He'll always be a part of our hearts and mentioned quite often in our home with a fondness and love. I'll never forget the gorgeous winter sweaters he would wear. He was a handsome, loving man with a heart of gold. We miss you dearly, Jim Giles!

My fondest memory is of you and Jim dancing the polka at the Candlewood Club on Friday and Saturday nights...but, if Jim wasn't at Candlewood, we knew there was weather of some sort brewing...

Dear Hannah--I heard the news of Jim's passing only a few weeks ago. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family. Jim was a wonderful, kind person, and a beautiful colleague. I so enjoyed working with him at Ch. 36, and have thought of both of you so often through the years.

I will never forget Jim Giles. He seemed so genuine, warm and compassionate. How great it would to have gotten to know him. I miss him and KOTV just isnt the same without him. I used to watch the news EVERYDAY and now maybe watch it once a week, if that. Jim, you are SO missed!

I just read about Jim's passing, and I wanted to extend my condolences to his family and to everyone at KOTV. I have many memories of watching Jim on Channel 6 as I grew up in Tulsa, and he fostered my continuing interest in weather. He was one of a kind.

I watched Jim's weather reports constantly from the early 90's up until when he retired. I'd always turn it to Jim when tornadoes were about. I finally got to meet him 2003 and I'm glad I did. He was the greatest meteorologist ever. I, as well as everyone else, will miss you Jim. You were great!
