Mar. 27, 1931 - Oct. 8, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Joe T. Oden was born in Oklahoma City March 27, 1931, to parents Joseph & Gladys (Thompson) Oden and passed away surrounded by friends at the Norman Veterans Center, October 8, 2012. Joe served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Transcon Trucking Lines. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, was a member of The Bridge Assembly of God in Mustang, and was a terrific grandfather. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myrna; and sister, Dortha Bulis. He is survived by his children: Sharon Kaye East, Thomas Joseph Oden & wife Carol, Charyl Lynn Baker & husband Mike, and Cynthia Joan Bennett & husband Michael; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Viewing will be at Advantage South, Thursday, 10am-8pm. A graveside will be 2pm, Friday, October 12, 2012, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Memorial donations may be made to the Norman Veterans Center.
