As a student of his, I got to see a lot of him, and he was an intelligent, and amazing man. He had quite the sense of humor, and was always happy and fun to be around. He was a man that helped me find my way, and helped me consider the USMC even more. He will truly be missed by Empire High School, and all others that were around him.

I had the pleasure of spending a year and a half with Bill through our cohort with NAU. We worked together on many assignments. I have missed our Saturday afternoon coffee. He will be greatly missed.

Hello, my name is Johnny Wilson and I was a student of Mr. Schmeh in Tucson, AZ. I will miss Mr. Schmeh, he was a great person and a extraordinary teacher. He made an impact on me and gave me an appreciation for economics. In fact, after a class on German currency before WWII I saw a currency note for sale at an antique coin store and bought it because of him and will always think of him when I see it I have to tell you a funny story; I read the obituary on the website last week and thought the mass service was going to be held at St Johns in TUCSCON. My family and I got ready to go this morning (my Dad who was a Marine even put on his dress blues because Mr. Schmeh was a Marine also) to go to the mass. Just before we left my Dad checked the obituary again to ensure we were going to the right place and discovered the mass was actually in OK! Well, we want you to know my family and I were thinking of your family and will miss Mr. Schmeh a lot. I've attached a picture of my Dad and I getting ready to leave!
