William "Bill" Harden Pace, III, age 71 of Westport and beloved husband of Eva Pace, passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on Saturday, January 13, 2018.
Bill is preceded in death by his father and mother, William Murray Pace and Naomi Roberta Pace. In addition to his wife, he is survived by treasured children: Emily Ingram (Brad), Katie Russell (Brian), Jesse, Reese; grandchildren Taylor, Carson, Hannah, Wyatt, Adeline and Aiden; great grandson Hudson, and sister Carol Valentine.
All who met Bill knew he was a kind and thoughtful man who personified the spirit of Americana. Bill had a passion and talent for historic restoration as a long-time owner of his namesake log cabin construction and restoration business. He served the community as a volunteer for the Westport Voluntary Fire Department, and was a brilliant musician who adored outlaw country/folk music, regularly performing for friends and family at gatherings.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at from 1 to 2pm at Westport Baptist Church in Westport. Following visitation, a memorial service will be held at 2pm, during which attendees will be welcome to share their cherished memories of Bill.
A memorial donation box will be available at the church during the visitation and service for the benefit of Bill's family.
