To the family and friends
I was saddened to hear about Carm. Now that she is gone, your sadness will be great. Don't hold back the tears! Crying helps ease the pain of grief. Jesus Christ was a perfect man who had strong faith in God. Yet, he “gave way to tears” over the death of his dear friend Lazarus. (John 11:35) So don't be afraid to let your tears flow. May the love of those surrounding you sustain you through the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was a high school friend of Carey's and enjoyed every minute we spent together. She always had that beautiful smile that lit up the room when she came in. Heaven is surely a much brighter place now that she smiles on us from there. You are all in our prayers.
