He served during WWII in Europe, Korea, and 2 tours in Vietnam. He was the recipient of the Legion of Merit, Airman's Medal, 5th Award; Purple Heart; and numerous other awards, including Combat Infantry Badge, 3 awards; Glider Badge and Master Parachutist Badge. Survived by his wife, Rita (Drefs); sister-in-law, Mary Peterson and husband Stan; nieces and nephews. Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, National Association for Uniformed Services, and Military Association of America.
VISITATION Sunday, December 29 from 2-4pm at Bellevue Memorial Chapel, with Full Military Honors by US Army Honor Guard at 4pm. Memorials to Nebraska Humane Society. BELLEVUE MEMORIAL CHAPEL
