Ricardo - It's 0952 and I just found out you have left us. You were such a caring person and an unconditional friend. Thank you for you being a good friend and confidant. I'll miss you. Over and out...

I was not aware of Dick's passing until today. For the 35 years I knew Dick he was always smiling. Godspeed, you are flying high forever.

Dick was my primary flight instructor and as such a great portion of those grey hairs were probably caused by me and my signature "Carrier Landings"...
That was 44 years ago. He was my Friend and confidant. Every couple of months we enjoyed Sunday Morning Breakfasts to catch up with each others lives and families...I will miss those Sundays...and my friend,

Here's a toast to the host
Of those who love the vastness of the sky,
To a friend we send a message of his brother men who fly.
We drink to those who gave their all of old,
Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold.
A toast to the host of men we boast, the U.S. Air Force!

To you Richard! You will be missed.

I flew with Dick (Richard) when he just had his private pilot back in the 1960's and helped him finance the time required to go for the commercial and instrument. Flew many a mission with him in the Civil Air Patrol. A find gentleman and friend. Excellent pilot. He will be missed by all in aviation.
Lots of time in N_66P with the University Aero Club in Lincoln. May your landings in the sunset be smooth.

One of the best "dates" I ever had was when Richie flew me to Kansas City and we went to eat at the restaurant that would turn around in a circle way up high...cant remember the name...and then we flew back home. He would bring me back the best jam from Canada before you could get it in the States. He loved chili and I think he would have eaten it every day. Richie and I had plans to go out one time and he was not going to make it back so he called me from Ontario, Canada!!!! to break our date. He loved scotch but would drink Crown Royal and eggnog with me during Christmas. I'll miss you and think of you often and the fun we had. God bless.

...will never forget the first time Dick rolled an airplane with me in it...He started huffing and puffing and all of a sudden South Omaha airport never looked quite the same...:)

Dick was a great instructor and a good personal friend for 35 years. He contributed much to the Omaha aviation community and will be missed!
