Lexi,

Your mother was my first cousin. Her mother, Ruth Akin Meadows, was my Dad's sister. My wife Carolyn and I attended your wedding in Alexandria all those years ago. Betsy and I had long conversations on the phone over the years. I cherish them all.
My name is William English Akin, III.

Lexi,

My sincere condolences. I knew your parents, and you,in the early 1970's when your father was my major professor. Both of your parents were special people to me, though I long ago lost touch. They live in my memory. Just today, I was reading one of your father's old EHR articles.

Dear Lexi, What a sad loss for you, no matter what age or how long you've expected it to happen. We're never really prepared to lose our parents, are we?
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Would love to hear from you.
Love,
Margarete
