To the Tarkentons...so sorry to hear about Dallas...you are all in our thoughts and prayers
John Kicklighter Charleston, SC

Dear family-I want you to know how highly I thought of Dallas, when he worked at the YCMA in Athens. At that time, as many little boys in Athens, I tried to play football. I found out pretty quick I was too small, and too slow. I hated to quit, but Dallas told me not to worry- tnere were other things I would be good at. I don't think a finer man has ever lived. May God bless you with your memories-Cuyler Trussell Dupree-Asheville NC

Some 32 years ago, Dallas gave us an opportunity that changed our lives. We will always be grateful for that. He will always be part of our lives. He was a man we admired for his success, and the example he set for us and many others. MayRee, boys and families, our thoughts and prayers are with you, and you will remain in our hearts. To May Ree and the Tarkenton family: May God and the many prayers of others comfort you in this time. Great memories of Dallas with AHS basketball and summers at Athens Y Camp (Doctor's Cabin). Warren Lanier
