David, first and foremost I must acknowledge the sacrifice of your own individual pursuits to pursue the time honored and noble pursuit of Justice. Your service in the US Army and later in the ACCPD serve as a testament to your inner core. Thank you for your friendship, the opening of your home to me, and most of all for loving your daughter, my wife. We shared many favorites among those Oreo's and Ice Cream, fast boats, and dogs!! GOd smileso n a life of service and sacrifice and I know he has welcomed you home. Bless you!

Dad,
I enjoyed all the summers that we spent together while I was growing up. I have very fond memories of our time together. Every time you came to Augusta to pick me up, I would run out to greet you by jumping into your arms and giving you the biggest hug! You always made sure I had everything I needed and that I was happy. I will always remember that. During your last days here with us, I had come to visit you, held your hand, prayed with you...you were unable to speak, but afterwards when I looked up at you, I saw a tear falling from your eyes. You were there. I am grateful for that moment. I'll miss you.
Love always,
Pamela

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Though we only got to see one another a handful of times, I will still cherish those memories with great fondness. I wish there could have been more meetings of our entire family, but I could tell that despite our infrequent gatherings you loved each and every one of us. Part of me wishes for more time with you, but part of me rejoices for you are no longer bound by this mortal coil and have at last gained some small measure of peace. I hope you know that all of us miss you, regardless of where life has taken us. I wish that I could attend your funeral, not only to bid you farewell but to support my mother in this hard time, but alas the distance from Thailand is too great to travel on such short notice. I will be there in spirit, and I will honor your memory and sacrifice through my deeds and my life here on Earth. Rest in peace, Grandpa Holland; your legacy lives on through your children and your grandchildren and your great-grandchildren, and I must say that it is a wonderful legacy indeed.
