I had the wonderful opportunity of both trading letters with Dobe these past twenty years and visiting with him and Marilyn at their home in Durango back in 1996. What a wonderful kind gentleman he was; I will always cherish the time spent with him and the correspondence. I grew up watching his movies with my father (who passed in early November) and came to appreciate those wonderful old films that Dobe made. My sympathy to the entire Carey family; my prayers are with you. He was a wonderful, wonderful human being.
