Jewel Sapp Garvin, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Born in Claxton, GA on July 9, 1923 she was a daughter to the late William Wright Sapp and Janie Tucker Sapp. She was a high school graduate and was a dedicated and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving is her daughter, Gail G. Day of Lexington, SC and son, Robin Garvin (Lyn) of Athens, GA; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton T. Garvin; her son, Teddy Garvin and a sister, Eunice Hagan.
A graveside service will be held in Savannah, GA. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073 will be assisting the family.
