Dr. Dan was truly a great man. I knew him over 55 years and he and his family were always special people In my life. To me, he was Pa D. Our children showed cattle during his tenure as head of Ag extension. He was such a positive influence on them. I shall be eternally grateful for having had the privilege of crossing his path.

I cannot say enough about what Dan has meant to me and to my whole family. His mentoring and coaching of my father changed his life for the better and is responsible for the career I have enjoyed to date in Cooperative Extension. I will always remember his gravely voice, his unvarnished wisdom, and his silhouette on the tractor as he square baled into the evening while we stacked hay and moved it to the barn. I pass his portrait at the North American Livestock Expo in Louisville many times a year, and I am proud to be a small part of his tremendous legacy.

So sorry. One remarkable man. So many great memories with family doing what he loved. I remember one Sunday service where he asked what kind of Christ's brand you will wear: painted, tagged, or hot iron.
Love to family.

Pam, Randy, and Danette: My heart is broken for you and your families. What a wonderful man your Dad was and I know how much you will miss him. Some of my fondest memories in my life are times spent in your home and with your sweet and loving parents. As I read the many accomplishments of your Father, what I cherish most is his terrific smile. I will always be grateful for the invitation to your parent's 50th wedding anniversary. I went with both my parents who were in great health at the time and the day with all of you remains so special. I love each of you so very much. Prayers lifted up all day long

Uncle O'Dell was my grandma Essie's brother. Even though I live in California, I had the pleasure of meeting Uncle O'Dell several times. My dad, Danny Hutchison, and my aunt Myra Horn regarded O'dell like a brother. He will be missed. I am sorry for your loss. Kathy (Hutchison) Keene.
