Homegoing services for Deacon Robert Smith, Sr. "Bobby" will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016, 1pm from Sanders Chapel Baptist Church, Penfield, Pastor Willie Chase officiating, interment, Smith Family Plot. Survivors include his wife, Saretta Williams Smith, children: Debra V. Smith and Robert Smith, Jr., five grandchildren, two sisters: Mrs. Cornelia Jones of Woodville, Ga and Mrs. Dollie Robinson of Carlton, Ga.; five brothers: Rev. William (Lisa) Smith, Rev. John (Darla) Smith of Conyers, Ga., Deacon Emmitt (Linda) Smith, Mr. Roger (Dorothy) Smith and Deacon Joseph (Fannie) Smith of Athens, Ga., a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Saretta you and the family have my sincere sympathy in the loss of our dear beloved Bobby. I pray for u daily. Please note I Will be in touch with u after everything is over. I can't be present with u in the home going celebration of such a great man because my uncle is very ill who I care for. But u know I love u and I will always be there for u in the future.
